  1. Always! But thanks for the reminder, sawing is one of the most dangerous things and safety reminders are always welcome.
  2. I'm headed your way in a couple of weeks, 2 week vacation. Let's get that heat down before I get there please!
  3. Finally checking back in, lost internet services for 3 days, lost power for over 4 days. Helped a few folks out where I could, it was just a frustrating time. Preparedness - I have a 12,500 W backup generator in my workshop, 80' away from the house. The exhaust is plumbed through the wall so I can close the entry and double doors for quiet and let it eat. 100' of 50 amp cord running to power the whole house (aside from the 5+ ton a/c). Window units keep the essential rooms cool. That ran for 98 hours. Next best thing would be a whole home natural gas unit, but this gets us by. Sometime before retirement I'll get the big dog installed.
  4. Hurricane Beryl tore our area a new one. No damage here at home, thank God, but no power since yesterday morning. Day 2 on my generator. Just got internet service restored this evening. The provider is saying it could be several more days before power is restored. Many people had damage, I ran my chainsaw most of yesterday helping neighbors cut up trees that fell on their property.

    Heck yeah it is!!
  6. Longest outage I know about was our widow friend who went 7 full days without power. But I made many gas runs for her (daily) and she never lost any food in her fridge or freezers.
  7. Not personally, no property damage. I had to run on my backup generator for a little over a day, but we're back online now. Many many people are not. I spent a decent part of today helping a widow friend of my wife's get up on backup power. Thanks for asking.
  8. I got the 35", that 37" package was like $11k more. They're still K/O 2's on my new rig.
  9. Noted.
  10. I've got family in Rio Rancho, NM and I would tie a visit there into that trip.
  11. It's a goal of mine to make it out there with you delinquents one of these times...
  12. Saw the thumbnail, didn't know what to expect. I'll definitely put it on the watch list now.
  13. Yes indeed, Slayer fan from way back, saw them here in Houston at the I-Ball (International Ballroom) decades ago.
  14. The new truck has so much going on inside, it's crazy. I love the new tech, the heads-up display is fantastic, screen and gauge configuration seems endless. Screams like a raped ape when you mash to go pedal.
  15. I sold my 2018 Ford Raptor, loved that truck. Replaced it with a new 2024 Raptor, color is Shelter Green, the tech in this new rig is amazing.
  16. Pretty hot little round at 3300 muzzle velocity, ballistics look good
