  1. With 7.62x39 ammo selling at .2 to .25 per round... I can't see why more people aren't building into this caliber? My next build is almost finished. Just waiting on some machine time to fix/fabricate a new part.
  2. Hey... watch the name calling. PSA had a good run on AR15 parts for a long time. On the other hand, a CMMG trigger guard roll pin will actually fukc up your whole rifle.
  3. And another one bites the dust... no fault of yours brother. PSA dropped the ball on their end.
  4. Think about it... If you just won a raffle against some Chewbacca-looking giant, would you accept the prize?
  5. Why stop at 16"? If this is a battle rifle, 16" is a bit much. Especially since most .308 muzzle devices are extremely long. Why not cut an extra bit off the barrel? You won't lose much if you go down to a 14.5" barrel with a pinned device... or even a 13.7" barrel with a pinned KX3 or KX5. You stated already that your likely max range would be 300 yards. 16" barrels are designed for 600 yards, so you can afford an inch or two. This will also save weight... ounces = pounds. Ps. Scrap the BCM "Gunfighter" and check out the MechArmor "TacOps-1" instead. You won't be sorry.
  6. Never go AFTER Tom... The last box he had was so fucked up he had to throw it out... lol... too soon?
  7. That was supposed to be the affordable Sig option to compete against Glocks. It is the upgrade to the Sig Pro.
  8. You're kinda right. I was torn between the P227 and the FNX45... Now with the new Detonics coming out...???
  9. A person who open carries has to understand that their element of surprise is gone. If shiit goes down, they'd better be very fast, and ready to destroy a life. I'm sure that kid was neither. A CCW affords a person the option of involvement, or being a damn good witness.
  10. It's getting more use at the bottom of my tool bag, than it would get on your fictitious SBR...
  11. That Lantac Dragon 7.62 is an awesome device.... I had one on my rifle (Ruger GSR Scout .308), till some jerk made me take it off and promise to send it to him for his SBR build.
  12. Yeah, just the trigger. I left the hammer spring alone. I wanted to make sure she was getting a good solid strike on that .22lr upper.
  13. Fukc you... That's all I have to say. (Don't take me seriously. .. I'm just jealous)
  14. Welcome. I'm crossing my fingers for you
  15. ALG ACT with JP yellow springs, makes one sweet combat trigger. That's what I put in my wife's rifle. She looooves it.
  16. The three quickest ways to tame the beast; 1. A new muzzle device. Remember, brake reduce recoil and compensators reduce rise. 2. An adjustable gas block. Although this does require a bit more wrench work, and may reduce the reliability of your rifle if not done right. 3. A heavier buffer and stronger spring are always a quick (although not always inexpensive) fix.
  17. I'm so torn for a new rifle... on one hand I really want an AXTS AX556 lower with a DD Mk18 upper... on the other hand I'm considering a complete LWRC 8" PDW.
  18. Damn my runt size... I was just looking for some waterproof bibs.
  19. To be honest, I'm a little upset with this board. How did this make it out, and NONE OF US made a squeak about it? https://ghostgunner.net I wish this was feasible for my budget.
  20. I would've loved to finish a rifle using a Turnbull receiver. I'm not sure if they sell the receivers separate.
  21. The three most common twist rates for the .308 are; 1:10 1:11.25 1:12 Normally you would choose one that matched the range of bullet weight you expected to shoot. Lighter bullets get looser twist to reduce pressure/friction, heavies get tight twist to maintain stability. That being said, after having a long conversation with Mike Dagerness from PROOF Research (formerly Jensen Precision) he basically advised that if you are buying a top quality barrel, get the tightest twist you can. Recognizing that this guy makes his bread and butter manufacturing HIGH end barrels for all manners of shooters, I respect his expertise. Buy quality, stick with 1:10, shoot whatever you want through it. I have a 17", carbon fiber wrapped, stainless steel, Satern match barrel, with rifle length gas and a 1:10 twist.
  22. Whaaaaaaa?::drool::
  23. Best? Mega Arms or SI Defense Fanciest? Turnbull TAR-10.... hands down, zero competition.
  24. What are we driving/riding that needs that many hours to be serviced? I swear, BMW could've cut the time by 90% if you didn't have to take out 2,000 bolts just to get under the body/faring.
  25. For the record... As for as that DD Mk18... The receiver and BCG were frozen solid with carbon. A little bit of love, like Dorothy gave the Tin Man, and I was finally able to mortar it open. I drenched that S.O.B., gave her a quick shake, then ran several flawless mags through her... like it never happened. I swore I'd own that upper one day.
