  1. Laughed loud enough to get the elbow from my sleeping wife.
  2. From me.... The Mg alloy tube is very soft. While it should be plenty for a bench rifle, and it is VERY lightweight, I was able to crush the mounting system with just an allen wrench. I take most of the blame, as I kind of gorilla'd the screw. Still, I am used to Daniel Defense and APEX handguards. I am able to beat those like Ray Rice (too soon???) in an elevator.
  3. Rain??? What is this "rain" thing you speak of?? Meanwhile in California... Gov J Brown signs 3 new water conservation laws into effect this morning. Dear SoCal, You increased your water usage 1%-5% over the last year while we have cut upwards of 20%.... And we're the ones who own the water and the farms... Thanks for fuckin nothing Love, NorCal PS. Screw the Chargers!
  4. If you can conceal a pair of dikes from Tom, your wife doesn't have a chance in finding them... of course one or both of them might know Tom already... hence the reason for their sexual orientation. I hear they were both 5'07" before they met him... rumor has it, he jackhammered the shiit outta both of them until they compressed to their current state.
  5. I wonder if it was just a .38 Super slide to begin with. Then modified for the longer AMU cartridge.
  6. If your upper is actually an Armalite, I wouldn't worry. Good luck on the 80%. I have zero experience with them.
  7. This has popped up a lot lately... The last line is the most important.
  8. They must be small if you can conceal the pair... Wait... I think I misread that
  9. I'll ride that SOB to AZ and ceracoat it in Tom's oven.
  10. Currently, I'm looking for a HD Road king. Preferably with a 96+" blacked out engine. I want to paint it to look like a modern WLA, including the brown leather.
  11. $1000 is still a lot more than a Glock 9mm + $100... you scored bro. Nice grab.
  12. Not even Colt??? Who makes Colts barrels?
  13. This is from RainierArms.com
  14. I saw that auction and didn't understand... What modification is done to the slide to shoot .38 AMU? Can it be undone??
  15. I'm honestly not trying to be a dick... Since half your shots are on the mark, and the other half are kinda-grouping low... It sorta looks like you're anticipating the shot??? Try loading up on your bipod more... Also, get off the bench/table and try prone, in the dirt. You may be getting a little rifle bounce. Even a lead sled doesn't hold these auto guns like they hold a bolt rifle.
  16. I've actually wanted a trike for a long time. Especially since the HD version came out. When I was visiting Sierra Vista, Tom had one one the showroom floor (I think it was a Kawasaki?) They make them with a tow kit now too. The lightweight trailer can actually pull quite a bit.
  17. I don't know much about PSA, but there are several guys around here that own them. AP receivers aren't necessarily the "best", but they are sure as hell GOOD ENOUGH.
  18. I didn't say it'd be a GC slide necessarily... Just a Colt Govt slide EDIT: WOW! Ser. 70 GC slide (w/barrel) is around $600-$700.... Kinda gives you an idea of what you got in trade!?!?!
  19. Ditch the ACS stock and look into something with a bit of a cheek riser....or modify something to fit your ACS?? If you like the collapsible stock, check out the CTR with the LaRue riser. To me it looks like you're changing your shooting position, maybe even your cheek weld. You obviously know how to shoot (and shoot well <thumbsup> ) a rifle based on your third picture. I think changing over to the AR system has you a little off balanced. Since sometimes you're on target, and other times you're not, it shows that you change small things about your posture and then change back due to comfort levels. I believe this is just an rifle/shooter relationship issue more than a mechanical issue..... It just means more lead down range for you. :auto:
  20. Yeah, lots of old people like those... :box1:
  21. You can grab another Colt slide for less than $300, and still be ahead of the trade. That ribbed slide is for the target shooting crowd, and can be a bitch to find a fitting holster.
  22. The only time(s) I suggest billet over forged: If cosmetics are really that important to you... If the billet has integral features (ie; ambi bolt release) that are unavailable on forged receivers. (Mega, Seekins, AXTS, KAC, LWRCi) Companies like Noveske, LMT, Mega, Colt, even new comer BAD Inc have all shown that a a high quality forged receiver can exist, and be extremely functional. If one of the above reasons doesn't apply to you, stick with the forged... Just because it's forged, don't think you're saving money. In most cases, you get what you pay for. As for integral features, Aero Precision has even started implementing special features on their forged receivers, like the "PDQ" ambi-bolt release. No longer do the billet receivers hold a monopoly on that market.
  23. Great? In California, that guy would be filing a rape case against you. A 70 series 1911 (Especially a Colt) will easily pull $1k here... A used Glock is lucky to pull $500.
  24. I think my XO has that same device installed.... Although, I believe his was inserted rectally.
  25. Damn, who needs to diet when you can just have all your parts cut out/off. At the rate you're going, we better get half off on your burial... and recycle value on the other half.
