  1. The only 13.7" I know of offhand is the Noveske "Leonidas". I'm sure there are others. The KX3 and the KX5 are Noveske muzzle devices, designed to assist the cycling of shorter barrels. When permanently pinned to a 13.7" barrel, it extends the overall length to 16.2". This makes it legal to mount without getting an NFA-SBR stamp.
  2. SS has a point. A new upper, 13.7" bbl w/ KX5, a 15" carbon fiber Lancer handguard, and a simple red dot, wouldn't weigh more than 3 or 4 lbs.
  3. That was a random instagram find... I couldn't resist
  4. I have an AAC Muzzle Brake and a Nikon 2X20 on mine. I've been VERY tempted to add a lighter stock from Boyds (Their old "Tacti-Cool" model) Here's a pic from when I had the Lantac 7.62 Dragon installed.... Some jerk stole the Lantac, so it wears the AAC now
  5. Colt just bought LWRCi and has two major overseas contracts (Brits and Yemen). They aren't going anywhere soon. If you're not in debt, you're not making money.
  6. I have a Ruger GSR .308 It's light, but I think it could be lighter with the right stock, I've been tossing the idea of a Boyds stock around. Especially after shooting 98Z5V's little Appleseed toy. I've got a new toy coming in soon. Thinking of cutting the 16" down to 13.7" after I'm done playing with it. That'll keep the weight down.... Although a KX5 may just bring that weight right back. S.W.O.R.D. Int. brags that their .308 is about 9 lbs unloaded. I had the opportunity to shoot their .308 and their .338LM. They are sturdy beasts!
  7. Nice pup there.
  8. Blue beat me to it. Mil rifles are 14.5" with carbine gas.... If that's your rifle too, the bayonet should fit... otherwise you might need an adapter.
  9. Aero Precision Fulton Armory Shadow Ops Black Rain Ord Quentin Defense They call make decent LR308 compatible parts (including the BCG)
  10. Melonite/Nitride BCG if you have an anodized upper... If you plan ahead, NiB your complete upper assembly. I jumped into the NiB before it became popular. I had SI-D finish my entire upper (including the BCG and barrel extension). NiB can be put on aluminum or steel. Melonite can only be done to steel.
  11. That was a wicked arm bar. Dumbass should've tapped loooong ago. Jesse owned him worse than Warmachine owned Ms Mack... too soon for domestic violence jokes?
  12. When you say "brown" do you actually mean (FDE) "Flat Dark Earth"? It's the desert tan color that is very popular right now. I don't know of any commercially available "brown" parts.
  13. I have no info on the Mauser. It just looked so cool! Han Solo has to be drooling over this one.
  14. I have a stash of those Colt mags. They are flawless. I stole them from my old man after retired. Each of them are probably older than I am. They are some of my best mags.
  15. Contrary to popular belief, deer don't spook at every single sound. They usually require multiple sounds, or visual confirmation, of a threat before they bolt. You should still have ample enough time to let one fly.
  16. UTG? I didn't even know they were still in the game?? I missed that... I must've phased out after I read "CMMG". Midwest Industry has affordable parts that won't wash away in a light rain or weaken in the sunlight.
  17. I recant what I said about owning one of each... I do not own any ramped sights. The closest I have is my TRP Operator with adjustable sights (it's okay to drool Greg) and that still has plenty of edge to grip whatever I dig it into.
  18. For EDC?!?!?!?!
  19. I'd wrestler her! Best two out of three... maybe three out of five... or four out of seven.
  20. I'm not preferential to any one company. I have Mepro, Trijicon, SIG Pro, Kimber, TruGlo... I think I may have at least one of each. Funny thing... Most of my EDC choices don't have more than iron sights. At the distance I plan on shooting, I don't need special sights.
  21. TruGlo BriteSite TFO
  22. I forget what they're called (too lazy and tired to look them up) but get the fiber optic and tritium combo sights. They glow 24/7, indoors and outdoors.
  23. PSA has a history of being quality... give them time to fix this issue. They jumped the gun a bit, and released their product too soon.im sure they'll fix it.
