I have to shoot an XD. I'm just put off by strikers.... they aren't natural.

Screw all you bastards! The Sig bug snuck up on me when I wasn't even looking. I have the fever bad now. Being raised a 1911 kid, you have no idea my shameful lust. I went to my LGS and priced one out, just so I would know.... $1150 out the door was a bit much for me right now. I really like that I can put my P220 Carry slide onto the P227... The new mags look a little funky. I read they're OEM, so I'm interested to hear who actually makes them.
  3. Here in CA.... BMW = $125 per hour labor. Have you ever paid $200 for an oil change? It cost less to service my Dodge diesel.
  4. Sketch, you just need to load up Mike's featherweight Mod 70. That'll get your cherry.
  5. Only two types of shooters... those who've had scope eye.... and those who WILL have scope eye. No escaping that.

I'm trying to decide if I should hate you right now....
  7. No thanks. My first thought, before watching the video, was "what's going to keep that CH from smacking me in the nose?" MechArmor TacOps-1 or nothing at all...
  8. Welcome, from the socialist left coast
  9. Because he's old as dirt. Lol
  10. If its not GenII, then it's a whole new design. That is not a standard receiver.
  11. I have a Marlin 1895 in 45-70... I wonder the ballistic difference?
  12. Looks like a lot of fun!
  13. I wondered if that Bushnell was going to hold up long, mounted on top of the .50 cal.... I guess now we know.
  14. Ziiing... already owned one, sorta... had it in the safe for months but never transferred it. Eventually I gave it back to the owner. Replaced it with a Springfield TRP Operator, bought from the same guy.
  15. And it didn't come in 16:9 ratio... :sign10: :fawkdance:
  16. Despite the set back, I'm still feeling the Hiperfire would be real nice for a rifle intended for a lot of steel cased mil-surp ammo. I'm just finishing up another 7.62x39, and I'm thinking that little extra hammer power might be real handy with some of the more pesky primers.

I just want to put this out there.... 14+1 .45 ACP (PS. Sig P320 is boasting a 14 and 13 round .45???)

    Did we say Sig yet?
  19. It (supposedly) works on the pistol length gas. A few bARFcom guys have done it.
  20. Tom is right. I spoke too soon. It's not completely basic... Aside from cosmetics, it does have an ambitious bolt release within reach of the shooters trigger finger... now if Seekins/Spikes/Mega could find a way to convert that release into a bolt catch... like AXTS, RRA, LWRC and others

Magazines??? Pshh... Next we'll be hearing from girls with speedloaders... bah! My two shot .357 mag Derringer works just fine. Even if I miss, the 4' blast will charbroil everything in its radius.
  22. Unforgiven didn't even need his little blue pill to get a chubby from that picture. Lol
  23. I'm a little disappointed... just another basic receiver set. Woopdeedoo.
  24. 2nd Ranger Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment
  25. I was out shooting with Jeremy Elrod (Ret. Ranger) from SWORD Int. recently, and he used a similar grip. He advised that he teaches the grip in his tactical rifle courses. Tom, that name ring bells? I believe he got out in '07 to get into contracting.
