  1. There is about 0.02" between the operation rod and the surface of the bolt key. The end of my op rod is also radius-ed, and my bolt key is cupped, so that the impact is more of a capture vs a hammer effect. No way to peen the surface that way. My operation rod also has three contact points inside the rifle, preventing it from straying, and possibly bending or missing. The three points are in constant contact with the op rod at all times.
  2. Short stroke piston. Very similar to the HK systems, if you’re familiar with their rifles.
  3. I won’t be offended if you sell your first .308 to fund this one. ?
  4. I don’t see myself making DI Uppers anytime soon. It’s for that reason that I am making LR308 compatible lowers, so that I can still market to people who want to build their own rifles. I realize that my piston operated system isn’t for everyone. That’s fine.
  5. It’s that angle and the light/glare. It’s a LR308 compatible receiver.
  6. We pulled this out early to take a quick pic. I couldn’t wait. The rest of the holes were added later.
  7. Oh, that... it’s nothing really... It’s just my new design for a replaceable, anti-rotation, QD attachment plug... and, yes, I put one on both side.
  8. What’s this?? It may not look like much laying there naked... but this is more features integrated into a single format, than has ever been offered before. 100% completely ambidextrous controls, built directly into a 7075 billet receiver. Never again worry about the compatibility of bolt-on aftermarket parts, because the parts you want are already part of our system. We really can’t think of anything else to add to our receiver, or else we’d have crammed it in there among everything else. **UPDATE: 9/10/2018 7075 T-6 Billet Aluminum Type III Hardcoat Anodize Cerakote Ceramic Coating Integrated Ambidextrous Magazine Release Integrated Ambidextrous Bolt HOLD Integrated Ambidextrous Bolt RELEASE Ambidextrous Safety Selector I have my own design, but I might outsource this to cut down on my machine time. There are a lot of good quality, affordable, options out there. Integrated Ambidextrous Anti-Rotation Q.D. mounts Replaceable Q.D. cups... NOBODY offers this ability! Flared Magwell
  9. Having shot your Shockwave... a lot... I don’t see an absolute “need” for a choke. Especially when “Flight Control” shells are available. Very tempted to buy a barrel porting jig. Although, for nearly the same cost, I could practically buy a complete barrel, with ports and rifle sights.
  10. I've seen a leather grip wrap out there. It was a nice touch of class.
  11. From watching Dave Suarez, check the pattern on your chosen loads. The 14” does not pattern the same as a full size shotgun. I haven’t seen it done yet, but I wonder if there’s enough meat on the barrel to thread it for removable chokes???
  12. I am probably one of the loudest fans of the Tac-14 and the shockwave. Since their start I have been following Dave Suarez and his upgrades. Having played quite a bit with one, I can attest that they are plenty functional out of the box. That being said, the addition of rifle sights and barrel ports seem like a great added bonus for a minimal cost.
  13. I’m ALWAYS trying to think of a reader why I need one. Wish there was a way to “pistol” this.
  14. The XTR is a LR308 compatible lower. Rip off the upper, and swap the buffer assembly (it uses a short buffer spring and 1 oz aluminum buffer), then replace with any LR308 style upper you wish.
  15. I don’t know what to be more scared of... the girth if the scope, or the length of the barrel??? It’s like monster sized fetish porn!!! the polish on the brake is beautiful

    Whoa!

    Nature is amazing
  17. I want a UTAS XTR12 upper. They’re supposedly compatible with a LR308 lower. My buddy has a complete shotgun and it runs on everything he feeds it.
  18. I like your style. BAT is definitely the OG in the SBS game. I was worried that they’d get pushed out of the market with the new options from the bigger brand names. Being from the Sheeples Republik of Khaliforniastan, I never get to play with fun toys unless I travel. I hear that BAT has a bigger following with our northern Canuck brethren. Something about their shotgun laws being a bit more lax than ours.
  19. Wait... you want a slug gun for HD??? Are you defending your house... or your neighbors house... through the walls???
  20. Cheaper to buy a Shockwave or Tac-14. They have detachable mag versions now too. I put about 100-150 rounds through a Shockwave last fall. By the end of the weekend I was shooting trap with it. There’s about a dozen guys on this board that were witness to that. Some jerk even had me blast off a few 3.5” shells. They hurt like hell, but weren’t uncontrollable.
  21. See that there!! Smarts prevails over lack of hygiene and social grace. Proof that being the ugliest guy in the room doesn’t mean you don’t know what you’re talking about. Hahahahaha
  22. There has to be something less “permanent“ for the UBR.
  23. I don’t like messing with the functionality of my firearm. Adding any kind of delay to the mechanism is a safety issue. I had bullet buttons on my old rifles and I hated them. My go-to self-defense rifle was my Ruger GSR before any of my ARs. Adding a “fin grip“ was strictly a cosmetic change. I got used to the grip, just like I got used to a Glock versus a 1911. Once I quit bitching about how ugly and uncomfortable it was, I realized that it shot and performed absolutely fine.
  24. I’m very tempted to buy a trigger FCJ to build one of these… https://firecontrolunit.com/
