  1. Believe me... something better start paying off, or the wife is going to stick a 115gr lead suppository in me!
  2. Armalite only uses one size spring on the AR10
  3. Slash recommends the standard AR-10 spring. I personally use a Tubb flat wire spring.
  4. Good thing you learned that before you put a scope on it. Those scopes bite, HARD!
  5. Great looking rifle!!!
  6. I’ll PM you guys the prices.
  7. These have a 25 year shelf life. That’s about par with most. The bonus with WISE is the giant storage container is extra protection, easily stackable, and can be used for water storage. The idea is, in the event of a emergency, you empty the containers and fill the with emergency water. Black containers store water longer than clear or white, because the don’t let light in (which grows bacteria/algae)
  8. This is on my current sale listing... 5-Day Emergency Pack 52 Mixed Servings 60 Entree Servings
  9. Rifles are in process of completion now. Just hammering away at production right now. The machines are going 24/7 to keep up. The .338 should be ready for mass assembly shortly. The .308 model and 5.56 models are coming shortly thereafter. Let's be honest, those are just generic calibers. My line up wouldn't be complete without a short 300Blk and a longer 6.5cr. Jacob (@beachmaster) has me working on a project with him right now too. It's been very secretive, and I don't want to prematurely disclose anything on his behalf... but he inspired me to play around with some stuff on my own as well. It looks like Beachin Tactical and CROM might have a pretty sweet duo-project coming out soon. More to come (I'm literally headed to the shop now to get a run down on the progress) I'm really excited about this! I recently got commissioned to develop a "California Legal" pistol PDW chassis for a one armed client. The current models toe the line with the California definition of an AW (despite what their advertisement says)... and they are ridiculously overpriced Chinese plastic! Lot's of people are in agreement that they don't want to be the first to test the AW laws. My new 6061 Aluminum and composite design should be lighter, more adaptable and be 50 State compliant Last but not least, no one can deny the raging popularity of the new Ruger PC Carbine 9mm. I can't even get one from my distributor. It's basically a 10/22 Takedown, chambered in 9mm! We all know that the 10/22 is the only other firearm that is as customizable as the AR firearms. A few companies are getting on board early (like Taccom3G) with aftermarket parts. I had some ideas that I sketched out on the PC, and there seems to be in a little interest. The concepts are VERY rough, and not to scale. These are mostly just ideas jotted down before I forget about them. I plan on talking to Taccom3G about their aluminum PCC barrel design, or possibly making my own "TacSol style" barrel with a 6" to 8", over-sized, permanently attached, muzzle device. As I keep expanding my projects, I start to look at other sales as well (of course). I'm not into it so much for a profit, but more so to pass on my HUGE savings. I have access to a LOT of products. One of the products I recently looked into was WISE EMERGENCY FOOD. Is there any interest in anything like this? Should I host periodic sales for products as they come around? I never know what is coming down the pipe. My wholesaler sends me "please move this" requests and hooks me up with major savings. I can provide those sales for you guys if there's interest. The caveat would be that I need enough sales to cover the shipping costs. It would probably only be 10 or 12 units, but if we want to keep prices low that's how it plays out.... You guys be the judge on this. I'm in it for you if you want it.
  10. my price on this is LOW
  11. 98, I have a bunch of low recoil, flight control, 12ga 00 buck for you. This shit will turn your mossy into a WMD!! You just let me know when I should order that stock kit for you! Complete folding kit $200 +s&h
  12. You are going to need to find an X-Products drum mag. They make the "X14" M14/M1A model. It will require a little modification to fit the AR10B, just like the original AR10B mags. Good luck finding one... And they cost $250 - $350 per magazine. I saw rumors of an "X10" model that was purpose built for the Armalite AR10, but the info is limited and I didn't find it on X-Products website.
  13. I had 10 of the 14 round mags, and six of the 10 round mags. None of them worked with the Winchester Ranger ammo. My G41 holds 13+4 (or 28 if I pull out the Kriss mags) and I can load that stupid thing with rocks and crayons and I bet it’d still fire. I’m not a Glock fan at all, but gawdamit, I cant find a mechanical flaw in this POS.
  14. I loyally entrusted my life to a P226 .40 for the first 10 years of my career. When I was given the option, I opted for switching over to a P220 elite stainless. It was the most accurate gun I ever owned… But would not chamber Winchester Ranger 230 grain ammo. After fighting with Sig for several months, I sold the P220 and bought myself a P227 TACops. Again, the pistol was ridiculously accurate, and this time it held 14 rounds of 45! Just like the P220, the P227 filled with Ranger Winchester ammo. I tried, and I tried, but I just couldn’t put my life on it. Here’s a little video I made of my P227. The short HP rounds would not clear the feed ramp, and jammed my slide almost every other round. The issue was absolutely identical with the P220. After the double failure of trying to use the 45, I switched back to the P226 .40 until it was retired. Since then my department has swapped over to G17’s. I have a G41 that I plan to bring into service hopefully by this fall.
  15. Do you guys realize that I wrote that almost THREE years ago? Too bad there isn’t a way to see how many times it’s been quoted. Shepp is always good for a quick copypasta when the booger hooks get too hot to type anymore.
  16. Carburized finishing, however you describe the individual process, is just absorbing carbon into the surface metal. I was just typing fast from my phone and generalized. I’m not 100% sure which “carburization treatment” he uses... Nitride? QPQ? Isonite? Melonite? Any argument about the differing quality of each process is a lack of understanding on what the final product is. It really comes down to money, time and volume of processing... and marketing. Ask a barrel mfg why they use a certain process ad they’ll usually respond with some variation of, “it’s just easier for us to use this (X) process.”
  17. Rainier Arms makes a decent forged lower. It’s fairly inexpensive and DPMS compatible. A decent “no frills” upper would be an old DPMS slab-side. No forward assist, and no ejection port cover. I believe they only came in the high rail profile, and possibly the super high, raised, rail. I believe Green Mnt (5.56) barrels are 4150. Not sure about other calibers. I pretty sure their 5.56 barrels are used on the M249. My buddy buys 24” Green Mnt 7.62 blanks for $50. He gets three 8” .300Blk barrels from that. After profiling the barrels, he gets all his steel parts carbon treated by the batch.
  18. ... Shenandoah river, Life is old there, older than the trees Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze... come on! Nobody else heard John Denver when they saw the OP?
  19. Look at that picture! There’s proof that this guy didn’t know his dick from a door knob. Who dafuq puts a muzzle brake AND a slide fire stock on the same rifle? No wonder he couldn’t get his shit to work right. That idiot obviously had more dollars than “sense”. Still no word on what happened to Campos?
  20. I shoot a .338LM indoors.... WHAT???
  21. i better get a better scope then too!
  22. If I make it this fall... THAT IS HAPPENING
  23. This (on the left) is what it looked like before I cut it. Glock sends four backstraps with their Gen4 and Gen5 pistols. You get a Med and Lrg standard grip, and a med and lrg beavertail grip. I cut the med beavertail. The lrg version is MUCH thicker.
  24. I don’t notice it in my grip, but I agree it looks a little “off”. If I get some more time with the dremmel, I’m going to taper the edge a little more. That should smooth out the transition a bit better.
