  1. welcome and can i instead suggest a second upper? maybe a 16" carbine dedicated for a second purpose? it maybe more expensive but gives a go to with the pull of two pins <dontknow>
  2. I'm the same age and here you there, but do get some leeway because we shoot together
  3. <thumbsup> happy happy joy joy <munch>
  4. +1, pretty bird. My only boundaries are funds.
  5. Booking flight now <thumbsup> you snooze you lose drew <lmao>
  6. If you keep this up I'll be there in his place
  7. I get mine for 11.99 a box at my local shop, 21.99 for 168gr gmm. Try palmetto state armory if you can order through the mail, I can't but remember them having good prices.
  8. i like federal ammo, it's almost all i buy. the american eagle line they have is good quality for the price, and i use that in my pws, 150gr and 168 gr, then in my larue it's gold medal match, 168gr only so far, but when it warms i m going to try a few things including 175gr gmm, so 168 gr and 175gr amax from hornady. your twist in your barrel should dictate how it will perform, but 168gr will run well in 1 in 10 and 1 in 11 twist barrels
  9. :o , she's very tough, don't let the fuzzy exterior fool you, ;)
  10. First off run it sopping wet for awhile, as it may take some time breaking in. Second, personally I wouldn't run any surplus ammo until you have a thoroughly broken in rifle. Personally I only buy American ammo, mostly federal. That's just me
  11. You should've been able to reload for your ar-10, did you try and have problems? If so, what? many inquiring minds want to know. reloading for the .308 ar's has been successful for many here, and i'm positive they will be able help. maybe you could post some of your loads too.
  12. Welcome
  13. Remember, it'll take quite few rounds to break in, and keep it wet, not just lubed but wet.
  14. so your more upset by this??? you would ignore him because of this? i feel this is overboard. just ignore this post. i'm done.
  15. it comes with a geiselle trigger, so you're good there. all i did to mine is added a battle arms ambi safety http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=41292/avs%7CMake_3=AR-15zz1zzM4/avs%7CManufacturer_1=BATTLE%20ARMS%20DEVELOPMENT%20INCxzzx/Product/AR-15-M16-AMBIDEXTROUS-SAFETY-SELECTOR?avad=avant otherwise, there is nothing to upgrade. promise. but to answer the second part of you're question it uses sr-25/dpms style parts.
  16. the other alternative is you simply skip this post, no harm no foul. everyone is allowed to speak here. no one wants you to leave and i don't believe he intended to offend you. the club house part of the forum says anything of topic and legal. seems to me that fit the bill. so look at all the other posts and then clear this one out.
  17. to my knowledge there isn't one and this is correctly placed. For whatever reason you struck a nerve, maybe you were to polite. Don't worry about it
  18. Welcome Kac, and please allow me to throw larue into the mix. I have a 20" obr that is sub .5 moa with federal gold medal match
  19. normally yes, but we're escavating the back yard and putting a retaining wall and redoing the lawn.
  20. i'd be the guy next to wishing i had all day to shoot
  21. anybody going? i wouldn't mind some tix
  22. welcome and that is the first pistol build i know of, make sure you post up picks, parts, and range reports <thumbsup> <munch>
  23. word. truth be spoken, thou shalt be cast aside and witness thunder, the almighty bang of the .308 <lmao> ;)
  24. i'm still waiting to buy a 1911, because of stupid state laws. new glocks are actually illegal too. i have one gen 3 g21, 45acp, a gen 2 g21 for my fiance, a gen 2 g19 and a gen 2 g26. the best shooters are the 45's, and they definately fill any needs until i can get a nice 1911 sooner or later. trying to pry a springfield from someone who doesn't shoot it but is reluctant to let it go.
  25. just shoot and wait for someone to say otherwise, especially outdoors. i bet you'll get more people asking what the sweet piece is you brought <thumbsup>
