  1. Some of the head porting - this is what I used to do... The bike:

Watched is last night. Fukkin good movie. Marcus is in the movie, numerous times, all over the place. Not the actor. Marcus Luttrell.
  3. More than that, brother. Did do the Yosh RS-3 full exhaust (stock headpipe is WAY too small in diameter). Ported the living hell out of the head. 3x3 hole in the top of the airbox, NoToil thin Supermoto foam filter, FCR-39 carb conversion, Athena 434 jug with a 14.25:1 compression piston in it, original Hotcams (more lift than the new ones, more duration, no decomp device on the exhaust cam). Manual decomp added from a DRZ-kick bike. Chucked the stock weakass battery and made a Yuasa YTZ-10S fit in the modded battery box. I've done $hit to it that Yoshimura can't replicate. 3rd gear low-RPM roll-on wheelies are effortless. You can't keep it down in 1st. Slight tug in 4th, and it comes right up. Have to run 104 octane, minimum, to avoid detonation. It's ridiculous. Next up is a 5mil stroke. Bring it up to a 470. :hethan: <laughs>
  4. For the 300 WinMag, I say build it. No joke. Well, build it, in a sense. Pick up a Rem 700 heavy barrel in that caliber (the Rem Model # 5718), throw the stock away, and mount that bastard in a McRee long action chassis. There's your base rifle. Done. Add what you need as the rifle progresses. Save $795 for the bipod. Don't ask me now, just save that amount, and let me know when you're ready for it. <thumbsup> Tell ya, I'm seriously looking at the Savage BA110. Or the Rem 5718, as you can tell... <lmao>
  5. Damn, that 14.5" is incredibly nice, Goof. Awesome rifle.
  6. That thing is gonna put your eye out!!! <lmao>
  7. SUNDAY! SUNDAY!! SUNDAY!!! ONE DAY ONLY!!! <lmao> CG Range on SUNDAY! Then, it SHALL be present at the wedding. <thumbsup> SS, I'm REALLY liking this stock so far - I've had a year to handle the damn thing. I think I'll like it shooting, especially with that scope setup. I'll definitely give feedback, though, post-shoot. I'll let ya know on SUNDAY!... I'm really curious to see how it functions, since it's carbine gas on a 16" 300BLK, with rifle buffer system. That might be too much buffer weight... Yeah, this bastard will be a great host for the SDN-6, no doubt.
  8. SS, I'm trying to get ahold of the new ProMag 308 mags - I want you to run them in that CMMG and see if they work. <thumbsup>
  9. I've got a pretty sweet 2005, brother - first year they came out. <thumbsup> Modded the hell out of it. :hethan:
  10. FINALLY have this thing in a configuration that I can shoot! Major parts were there a LONG time ago - over a year. Picked up the PRI rail, and I can shoot it now. It's still missing TWO parts - I need the full-length top rail and rear sight, both from PRI. However, for now, I can take it out and shoot it. FINALLY! Parts: Mega billet lower, MagPul MOE+ grip, MOE rifle stock, KNS Precision turned lower parts kit with Armalite springs, Armalite 2-stage NM trigger (adjusted pretty light), BADASS (of course). Upper is Aero Precision, BCM BCG, Gunfighter large latch CH, NEMO 16" carbine-gas 300BLK nitrided barrel, PRI rifle-length tube, PRI flip-up front sight, and Spike's DynaComp on the end. Gasblock is Midwest Industries lo-pro, and some carbine gas tube I had in the parts box. Warne Maxima steel QD rings with the Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 Firedot-G scope (1.5-4x20).
  11. ^^^ You know - that would be a great idea, but they'd have to be transferred. OLLs shipped to your place for pics = CBI kicking in your door! Hey, wait a minute - Roger is in Cali all the time. Wonder how far he is from San Dee-Eggo?
  12. Before you cut on anything, just removed the receiver extension, remove the pin, remove the spring. Drop the pin in it's hole by itself, and see if it'll go all the way down. It should. If it doesn't, there's an issue in that hole somewhere; a burr or something... P.S. If there IS a burr in that hole, and you force that pin down in there, you might not get it out - even with pliers. Just go easy.
  13. THAT'S fukkin bull$hit, bro! <lmao> :wtf: :tfg:
  14. I'm in. CG it is, brother. <thumbsup> Bring that 10/22 with you, and I'll mod the bolt release right there at the range. Used to do that for every person that brought one to an Appleseed - it's necessary there. I'll bring a couple 10/22s with me, too - let you check out some different triggers, etc. We can decide to go from there. I need to hit Cabela's on the way home from work this week, so I'll check for a pretty good trigger setup there - they used to carry them, not sure if they still do or not.
  15. That's harsh, man! HAHA!!! I talked to him last weekend - he was down on weight, but has picked some of it back up the past couple weeks. More food! He's doing well.
  16. Dude! I'll give a bunch of info about this - love me some 10/22s! There's lots of guys here with them. The info will FLOW...
  17. What a waste of a perfectly good DRZ-400 SM... :ugone2far:
  18. This thread is only four - FOUR - years old, guys... <laughs> <lmao>
  19. THIS, ladies, gentlemen, and Rob... <lmao> ...is something to behold, when it comes out... If you get to witness it firsthand, just hope you're watching it, and it's not directed at you... <laughs>
  20. HELL YEAH, BROTHER!!!! Love ya, man, and I'm damn glad to have you around. Now, let's go break some $hit. <thumbsup> <lmao>
  21. I told you guys these were smoooooooth!!!! <thumbsup> They're awesome, Roger! You know I need a couple out of the first batch... Dawn Marie is poking me in the ribs - she told me she gets hers before I get mine. <dontknow> <lmao>
  22. Larry, I saw that one a mile off! When you showed up AND had the grandson with ya!... <lmao> Dawn Marie actually talked him into shooting something - he looked like he was intimidated by "the big kids..." but she won him over.
  23. Eh. He's doing okay... <lmao>
  24. On the receiver extensions with the cutout for the retaining pin, you gotta depress the retaining pin to go that extra turn, so it doesn't hit the pin whilst turning. Did you do that when you attempted to give it one more turn? If not, give it a try - it looks like it might go that extra turn, just never can tell until you try it. Just wondering...
