  1. You won't need the Pig on that one, brother. You get down below 10" on the barrel, and the concussion (to the shooter) is pretty heinous - that's where you'll need that Pig. <thumbsup> I've got a 7" setup with pistol-length gas system, and that damn thing is painful to shoot - so on went the KX-3. Made a world of difference, and shoots just as nice as the 11.5" setup.
  2. Ron can't measure a mag properly, apparently... <lmao>
  3. ^^^ That right there is my dream, brother, in a big way. Massive hunk of property. Motorcycle and ATV repair shop WITH a motocross track on the property. That's on one side. On the other side, gun shop/FFL WITH 1,200-yard range on the property. In the middle, steakhouse and saloon. Further behind that, man-made lake, with RV hookups. That way, I get to work on engines, beat the hell out of them on the MX track, run the gun shop and range, Dawn Marie runs the steakhouse and saloon, and people come from all over in their toyhaulers and campers just to hang out for the weekend. They won't need to leave the property for anything. The main living quarters will have big stone wall around it, with parapets at all corners. And a moat. Filled with Hippos. Not joking, need to look into the licensing and permits for Hippos. Nobody will fcuk with a pissed-off Hippo. <thumbsup> That's my compound. :)) Money to be made in a layout like that. Greg will be living there, too. >:D
  4. Oh, forgot this part - it's mounted in a set of Warne Maxima steel rings, medium height, QR levers. Of course. <thumbsup>
  5. Just picked up a Leupold Mark AR Mod 1, 1.5-4 x 20. These are the newer versions of the Mark AR scopes that they make. Made the comparison between it, the Burris 1-4, and the Vortex 1-4 several months ago - set them all side by side, glassed around with them, adjusted the mag on the all - this was the one I liked the best. Now, this is going on the 300BLK rifle. I've got my mind made up on finishing this one, and it's gonna be nice. I just need several more parts in order to finish it. Hopefully I can get this done before the Mad Shootfest To Blow Up Drew's Phone. If I can finish it in time, I'll end Drew's phone with this rifle. <lmao> So, I looked at weight, OAL, clarity of glass, and the reticle, when comparing these guys. The Leupold won in all categories, for me. By far the lightest of the three, and damn that optical clarity - I've rarely seen glass this clear. When I compared them, the one I was looking at had a custom elevation cap for 300BLK 125gr OTM - perfect. That was awhile ago, and that's a custom cap, so the scope I actually got has a .223 Rem cap on it for 55gr @ 3100 fps. Eh. I'll order the custom cap for the 300BLK 125gr OTMs. This one is also the illuminated reticle, the Firedot-G SPR, green dot. <thumbsup> It's a badass sum'biotch. I STILL can't find my damn camera, and it's been missing since the T-Day dune trip. No pics right now. In the meantime, here's something to tide you pic-whores over a little... http://www.leupold.com/tactical/scopes/mark-ar-riflescopes/mark-ar-mod-1-1-5-4x20mm/
  6. You're REAL cautious about footpeg grip when runnin' those. You DO NOT want a foot coming off a peg - or you won't have a foot anymore... <lmao>
  7. Oh, SNAP! <lmao>
  8. Wilson Arms makes their SS barrels for them. I suspect Wilson supplies them with all their barrels, as all RRA rifles shoot damn well, accuracy-wise. I've got a 16" midlength Wilson and an 18" rifle gas Wilson. When I was hunting for a 20" Wilson for the Woody, the only people that had them were RRA, so that's where I got it from. All three of my barrels are SS Match 1:8 twist with the .223 Wylde chambers. All three shoot the lights out.
  9. Oh, yes it is, my good man. <thumbsup>
  10. Or, if that's just a standard trigger and you want to replace it with a good standard trigger... The Geissele-manufactured ALG Defense ACT trigger. That one won't break.
  11. When do they end this thing and declare him the victor?

    Truck Tracks

Mattracks are a helluva lot more solid in design. Those guys have been around for awhile. Had a Can Am Maverick come in the other day with the Mattracks installed. Some air shock problem with his rear suspension or something. http://www.mattracks.com/
  13. Double feeds are always mag related. OP, I never saw anyone ask this question of you - what lower parts kit did you use to build that lower, and was it 308-specific? Are you absolutely certain that you have a 308 bolt catch? It's not the same as the AR-15 part.
  14. That would be a riot to get Lance out there with us.
  15. 1. It would seem to be a molded or cast part with an air bubble at probably the worst place or it to happen. 2. Now I haven't called Armalite yet and I wouldn't be surprised if they send me a replacement part for free. 1. MIM. Metal Injection Molding. It's becoming more common in parts these days. For the most part, it's not a bad thing, despite the schit-talking that goes on about it. The firearms world is not the only place it's used. 2. If that was a Gen-U-Wine Armalite lower parts kit, they'll replace that hammer for you. Get ahold of them.

    Funky Catch

Damn, I'm more jealous of your "fishing company" than the strange bastard you guys caught! That's awesome!!!
  17. I'll dig up some pics of bolted tires. Not studded - bolted. 2 1/2" bolts through the tires. They're for hill-climbing. BIG hills. >:D
  18. Sunday is when we'll draw that crowd. Fuk it, I'm up for it. We've ALL told him to move his ass outta that Chi-Com Damn State that's run by gun-haters, man. One day, we'll get to him, he'll realize his transgressions, and join us in AZ-Gun-Lovin'-Harmony. :))
  19. If that's what it would take to get PR out here, I'll do it. <thumbsup>
  20. If you ever have to come to the conclusion that you can't do that, please let me know. I'll sell an AR to fund this place. <laughs>
  21. That's scary when Mike asks that kinda question - he's got some other caliber in his head right now, I just know it. <lmao>
  22. Now, HOW many times have I suggested this to you?... :bitchslap: <lmao>
  23. There is only one. It has been named. Other possibilities are not even worth mentioning, seriously. <thumbsup>
  24. Happy New Year to all my brothers - may you have a fantastic 2014. :happydrunks: Now, let's get some mid-term Dems out of office while we're at it. <thumbsup>
  25. I've got plans for that phone, too... >:D I'm in for either day, so it comes down to what works best for all parties involved. Obviously, we'd run into less people on the weekday - I'm just sayin'. Not that runnin' into other people are bad. We're just gonna draw a damn crowd... <lmao>
