  1. That DPMS slick-side upper is in stock at Midway right now, too. The day after I bought that barrel on GB, the Yankee Hill 10.5" barrels came in-stock at Brownell's (went OOS quick though - don't have them now). Parts for the 9mm's are hard to find, so grab what you can, when you can do it. I'm still hunting for the BCG. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/138383/dpms-upper-receiver-stripped-ar-15-low-profile-flat-top-matte
  2. VERY well said!!!
  3. These? Order with confidence.
  4. I think so.
  5. It bolts onto the stock bolt catch, like the BAD Lever does, and it probably protrudes out the back, like the BAD. I doubt it would work on the .308. One way to find out, though - get the lower in, get the bolt catch in it, get that lever on, and put the upper to it and see. I don't think it's gonna work, though, for the same reason the BAD doesn't clear.
  6. Is that a special 5.56 Phantom QD mount, for the 7.62 can? YHM made the mounts different on purpose, so people didn't accidentally mount a 5.56 can on a 308 rifle...
  7. Only reason I would think that they would say that, is because of an inexperienced person on the phone (maybe?) that sees it listed for the DPMS LR308. Your concern with the MagPul BAD lever, and a .308 AR, is the recess in the upper, where the stock bolt catch goes. The BAD lever won't clear that recess. The EBRv2/308 does. When you can put the Armalite bolt catch in the DPMS lower, as a strength upgrade, you can run that DPMS part in the AR-10 lower (for a strength decrease?). Point is, the two parts swap. The EBRv2/308 will work on your AR-10. If it doesn't, I'll buy it from you.
  8. Comes down to personnel, in a big way. Just to keep up with this silliness, many companies are running multiple shifts, and 24-hour operations. That turns into some decent overtime pay, because it's tough to find (more) qualified people that can do some of this stuff. My observations.
  9. I don't think he does did. I think I'll send him an XD45 mag. You know, just in case. I think he might already be looking - or firing up the card. I think my next XD45 will be this one: That's only if I can resist the XDs45...
  10. Yeah it is! And the XDs45 compact is REAL SWEET! Especially with the 7-rd mag in it! One of those is damn near perfection. I'm just sayin'...
  11. Reputable company. I started looking at them years ago, when they released this:
  12. Hell yeah, brother! And, now we're conspiring!
  13. No experience installing one, and limited experience shooting one - I shot Jon's XDm with that trigger. Shot damn nice, too! I went with the SP kit in mine, because it's the XD45 w/ thumb safety - PRP offered nothing for it, and SP were the only ones that did - it's almost a 2-stage trigger, and is damn nice.
  14. Lemme know how that piece is, micro - I was looking at that, when I did the extended mag release and trigger kit.
  15. MaDuce, did you know that there's a difference in length of the AR-10 carbine buffer, and the DPMS LR 308 carbine buffer? The Armalite AR-10 carbine receiver extension is also longer (7 5/8") than the AR-15 and other .308 AR carbine receiver extensions (7").

    My first rifle

    I love the 30-06 cartridge, man - that's a fine rifle you've got.
  17. I was gonna say - that might be the case with 5.56 barrels, but it's not the case with the .308 barrels.
  18. Ah! As I suspected!!!
  19. I saw that - just giving the original pic-maker some poop...
  20. ^^^ This, right here.
  21. Yes, very well, too.
  22. I could have led you down that path a long time ago, brother - were you not listening to me?...
  23. Damn, Jon! Those are sweet!!!
