Ironic, that I mentioned her not long ago, as well as several others... <dontknow>

Ask them, if they've got the time - we'd love for them to register an account here. <thumbsup>

Damn, that IS a good deal. I nailed a 512 a couple years ago, when I lived in VA. Shoot over to the Ft Belvoir PX, to the firearms section, and lo and behold, there's an EOTech hardcase sitting behind the counter, in the locked case. Ask the guy if I could see it, and it's the 512, marked at $345. No sales tax in the PX, so I grabbed it up. Until now, I've never seen one lower, yet. This is a screamin' deal. <thumbsup>

Thinking about that very same thing, right there. <thumbsup>

During one of the televised debates, The Great Kenyan blurted "Weapons Ban" from himself, whilst trying to maintain his composure. That'll be something that's coming now, in one form or another. Mark those notes on the calendar.

Firearms-related poop is gonna go through the roof. I hope you guys have what you need. Nothing will be "easy to get" now...
-
I did, brother - I won't lie... <lmao>
-
^^^ Those guys annodize their own receivers, too, Rene - Matte Sand is pretty damn cool. I'm just sayin'... <laughs>

Rob, feel like I've been kicked in the nutz... I can't believe the American voting populace. It's disgusting.

I try to not pay attention to those assclowns... <thumbsup>

I'm glad my plan didn't backfire - didn't want you to give up on your rifle, but I didn't want to to put all your informational backing in what that LGS was saying. Keep that rifle, modify it how you want, and it'll work well for you. <thumbsup>
-
<laughs> No problems, brother - he's cool. I'll keep the muzzle on him. <thumbsup> I get it now, Magwa - "extended carbine" is what they're calling that for the 5.56 guns. I think it's awesome as all hell that they'll whip one of those out for you. Says alot about the company, right there. Tacti-Cat trying to sneak a trip to the range with me. He's pretty good with a 10/22. :o

<lmao> I'm gonna poop my fuckin' pants if I find out his local dealer is the Gun Gallery, in Jax, and he's been talking to Neil for all his info... :o I'll be such the ass for that... <laughs>

I read this thread title, originally, and heard in my head "I give up..." My first reaction, that I fought against replying to, but can't give in NOW to, is: Nobody likes a quitter... I dunno - maybe it's just me. I'ma dickhead. <dontknow> Lay down a quit, dude, because your LGS has brainwashed you. You're already beaten, just by them, and their will to talk poop to you and try to get you to spend money. They've already beaten you, by what you say. You can fight back, too, and realize that they're full of poop. And you can fight back another way, and get them to make their comments public - again, bring them right here. Point them right to me. I'd welcome it. <thumbsup>

12" Rail on rifle-gas system - doesn't cover lo-pro gas block, just right up to it: 12" rail on carbine gas system, with 14.5" barrel - fully covers up the gas block, and the rail extends several inches beyound the gas block: 13" rail, overlapping a mid-length gas system, on a 16" barrel: 13.8" rail, coming right to the end of a lo-pro PRI gas block, on a rifle-length gas system: 12.875" rail covering a mid'length gas system: Carbine gas system, with carbine rail, A2 FSP: Carbine gas system, 9.25" rail (covers gas block): Rifle-gas, Rifle handguards, A2 FSP: Mid-length gas, mid-length freefloat, A2 FSB - rail comes right to the edge of the FSB (front sight base): Tacti-Cat. He will whoop some ass on a moments notice, despite the "gentle nature" in the pic. Expolsive power in a small package. Dangerous... :o

Like I said. You have a POS LGS. "POS" stands for "Piece Of poop." THey're preying on you, and it worked. As evidenced by what I stopped my quote at, "This scares the crap out of me..." Get a new LGS. Ask your LGS this question: "When was the last time one of YOU employess put a .308 AR into a combat zone (only four current ones in the last 10 years, publicly, and they're Iraq, Afghanistan, Horn of Africa, and the Philippines). Ask them WHO among their employess has been deployed tho those locations, in support of, or involved in, combat operations, WITH a .308 AR... You'll get a deer-in-the headlights look. Your LGS already won - they beat you. You believe their bullpoopy... If you think your gun sucks, I'll buy it off you for 35% less than what you paid for it. You can "get out from under it" that way, and move onto something that you don't need, but makes them money. PM me your purchase receipt, and I'll start working on it. <thumbsup>

Yeah. THat would bone EVERYTHING right in the ass, pretty bad. I hope smart people get out and VOTE tomorrow. Sheeple and followers need to do their thing, I understand, but the REAL Americans need to get off their asses, too, and make poop happen.

Damn. I wanna shoot that, too. <dontknow> <thumbsup>

It's all 1s. Straight across. We're all going down, in a firey death, now. Percentages have aligned, like the world will align, and it's coming soon, I feel it. I can't wait for the end of the Mayan Calendar, so I can wake up the next day and say "HA! Eat THAT, Mayans!!!" I wanna see the vid of the dude that's jumping off the rock, in Sedona, AZ, at the specified time - he's gonna be disappointed, afterwards, when that poop doesn't really work out... <dontknow>

Well, brother, write back or call soon - you have a carbine length gas system. 1) A standard carbine freefloat system would go right out to the carbine-length gas port, and stop there. Room for an A2 front sight, with a carbine-length rail. 2) You want to add the A2-type front sight. 3) A carbine-length rail is going to go right out to that A2-type front sight, and stop before it hits it. 4) You asked if they could put a cut-out in that. It's not going to touch it anyway, and a cut-out will leave a hole in the top rail of the freefloat. 5) You'd probably need a MIDLENGTH freefloat, with a cut-out for an A2-type front sight, at the CARBINE GAS SYSTEM position. ^^^ That's what you need to ask them if they can do. Based on the flexibility they've already given, on an option that's not available on their website, I don't think it would be a problem. Gas systems and rails are not synonymous. For gas sytems, you can have pistol, carbine, midlength, and rifle (and "intermediate" and a few others, depending strictly on manufacturer of some "non-standard" gas systems.). Rails don't necessarily follow that. Think A2 front sight, like you are - If I have a carbine gas system, with an A2 front sight, and I put a carbine length rail or freefloat on it, then it's gonna be long enough to extend right up to the backside of that A2 front sight, but not touch it. I don't HAVE to run a carbine rail or freefloat, just because I have a carbine gas system. I can put a lo-pro gas block on that barrel, put on a carbine rail (gas block exposed), or use a midlength rail (gas block inside that rail), or longer rail (with gas block inside that longer rail, too. I'll get some pics up soon, and show you what I'm talking about.

And learn what animals you can eat, and eat them. And learn what animals you CAN'T eat, and DON'T eat them. And learn what animals are lookin' to eat YOU, so you can figure out how to outsmart them. THEN eat them. <lmao> <thumbsup> I ain't kiddin'... <dontknow> How do you eat a whole elephant? One bite at a time.

That's a LGS that's filling your head with bullpoopy, right there. I'd find another LGS. Have them sign up for an account, and log in here, and I'd be glad to discuss it with them. <thumbsup>

Yep! The aluminum ones should be coming in about 2 weeks. Gotta see if Dave knows anything yet, or has received info.
