  1. New plastics on the way, only thing I'm keeping is the tank. Waiting on engine parts to show up - 100% rebuild of the engine entirely. Forks need rebuilt, and rear shock, too. I'll send the frame out for powdercoat while everything is apart. Just takes time (for stuff to show up) and money (to get stuff to show up)... <laughs> <lmao>
  2. I might be able to help with the hydraulic cylinders, custom or not. <thumbsup>
  3. Ask them to mail them to you USPS - alot cheaper that way. I know why you buy them from their online web store, the shipping is about $12, by default. <thumbsup>
  4. I don't know, Jon - last time I talked about Greg, all the posts were deleted... It was something about a pants-down hug, but it's all gone now - somehow innappropriate. At this point, there is no proof, so I'm off the hook. ;D That Leonidas is one sexy MFer, though... :o
  5. The sizes (1" and 1.25") refer to the loops, and the size of the sling webbing material that they're made for - the sockets and what they plug into are supposed to be universal.
  6. Laguna Seca just happened. Guy from the shop works the track at every one. Massive crashes this year - Rossi and many others ate it at the top of the corkscrew, and the stories go from there - that was practice, so none of was recorded or televised...
  7. fred, uuummm... that's a sign... <laughs> <laughs> <lmao> <thumbsup>
  8. The Leonidas rifle is my weakness... :-[
  9. Damn! You're more than covered with that - have no worries about getting it down to a 20" barrel. To cover the PRI gas block on a rifle length gas system, the rail will have to be 13.8", just to get the end of the mounted rail to the end of the PRI .936 lo-pro block - I've got that setup. I'll grab some pics of it in detail, if you need, but the main parts are detailed (with pics) in this thread: http://308ar.com/forum/dpms-lr-308-general-technical-discussion/lr308-self-build/msg616/#msg616
  10. ^^^ <laughs> <lmao>
  11. Firearms-machinist-wise, I'm not sure what you have access to over there. However, depending on shipping price, there is someone on US soil that can take care of anything you want done, barrel-wise. ADCO. Depending on what you've got available there (or not available there), it would be worth the shot to contact them and see if they can help you out. They work wonderfully through email, and catching them on the phone might not be your best bet. Try it out, and see what you come up with - definitely worth the time. <thumbsup> http://www.adcofirearms.com/ email: steve@adcofirearms.com Full contact info: Fax 419.882.6627 Phone 419.882.8079 please don’t call to check item availability – use the “email a question” link below each item. 12. That's pretty damn accurate, man. Don't feel bad about outing that information, at all. <thumbsup>
  13. JD. Good stuff. Welcome aboard, man. <thumbsup>
  14. <laughs> <lmao> You're "baiting" him... <thumbsup> That Pace Car Camaro reminded me - close friend bought the orange SS a couple years ago, did some minor mods to it. Damn badass car. When the ZL1 was announced, he removed all his accessories from the SS, planned to trade it in, and ordered the orange ZL1. He's had that car now for a little while - it's unreal. :o I'll try to get some pics from him. It's a damn beast.
  15. Done, right there - Drew will be your new best friend... <thumbsup> ;D I see this topic growing from here, as soon as he sees this... <laughs>
  16. SI Defense also sells a stainless replacement - not sure what the base-size is the the allen... <dontknow>
  17. Here's a 9.0 @ 143 on a Yamaha RD350: Kawi H2 Super Eliminator class video:
  18. I'll search for some drag data on them, but the last year they were legal in Moto GP (2001), the 500cc 4 cylinder 2-strokes were putting out almost 230hp. From a 500cc engine... :o Size-wise, if a Ford Mustang 5.0L put out 2,300hp, it would be in an identical size-to-hp ratio... <laughs>
  19. ^^^ <laughs> <lmao> That damn thing is beautiful. Almost too beautiful to beat the hell out of. I like it, alot! <thumbsup>
  20. They have a storefront, and welcome people to come by - check their website for the storefront hours. Midwest Industries people are cool as hell, man. Love 'em. <thumbsup>
  21. Uuuummmm, it was a guy... <laughs>
  22. B5 - 342 grams LMT SOPMOD - 328 grams CTR - 252 grams STR - 351 grams UBR - 666 grams
  23. The B5 isn't any shorter than the others - just another AR carbine collapsible stock. Not sure on weight, but I'd bet the specs on it are in that Gear Scout stock-destruction article, probably with weights. One thing it is: It's a genuine SOPMOD stock, and it doesn't have LMTs pricetag. It's about half what LMT wants for their version of the SOPMOD. http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gearscout/2012/02/01/buttstock-bashfest-gearscout-finds-out-just-how-far-tough-talk-goes/
  24. I'm pretty sure the AKDAL shotgun is the same thing as the Atlantic Firearms shotgun - Atlantic were the first ones to bring it to our shores... Is it the same one, both made in Turkey? http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct1000.aspx
  25. That's awesome news, man - good find. <thumbsup>
