  1. When they let out that scream - just run. Apparently, you didn't run... I'm just sayin'...
  2. I'm undefeated with snakes, brother. They're a non-issue. EDIT - I have a detailed snake story coming up.
  3. They are stubborn, for certain - once they set their little rat-brain-sized minds to something, they go all in. You guys better be prepared. I am. I have previous combat experience against beavers. I know what they're capable of.
  4. Well done, Spark.
  5. Well done.
  6. That's gonna be WW III, I'm telling you. You bastards better show up out here, too, and help me defend AZ.
  7. Loose Beavers are a serious issue. TRUST me on that. When they attack, there's little that you can do about it. You need to go Full Caveman, and pray you make it through it.
  8. Ohio went another step further today, with HB 99, which allows arming teachers. Research that one, because there's some bullpoopy liberal news articles out there, attacking the Governor for doing it. It went into effect today, June 13th, same as the Constitutional Carry. Here's the most non-lib article I can find on it. https://www.foxnews.com/us/ohio-governor-law-teachers-school-staff-carry-guns-24-hours-training
  9. It can happen. It usually waits until you have a really good, long, detailed post ready to go - and the forum eats it...
  10. These kinds of situations escalate quickly...
  11. @Former 11H, read this longass post - it will explain alot. This the the "why and because" for alot of problems with .308ARs. This was years in experimentation, and development, across multiple calibers, on the large-frame AR platform.
  12. I can stop this whole thing right here, and tell you "it's buffer WEIGHT" that will do what you want it to do. There's only one buffer that will do it, too. Click the link below. We work backwards from that part, right there. Buy the 10oz Rifle buffer that's the first thing on this page: https://heavybuffers.com/ar10rifle.html This one: Reduces felt recoil and makes the gun operate more smoothly. Many customers use this buffer in .308 ARs to make shooting more comfortable for their spouses and youngsters. Great for use with suppressed weapons. Also popular with those shooting magnum calibers. I strongly recommend this buffer if any of the following conditions apply: If you will be shooting with a suppressor. (Your gun will still run fine unsuppressed with standard ammunition.) If you will be shooting hot handloads or very heavy bullets. If you want maximum recoil reduction. I recommend using AR10 rifle buffer springs (#EA1095) with these buffers. OEM springs from other manufacturers or aftermarket springs may cause malfunctions. 'Flat-Wire' springs are not recommended.
  13. Here's a pic of where that fucker snake was living, when I got the doors open. Pay attention to the red squiggly lines - that was him. Sorry I didn't take the time to get pics of the actual snake -but when I saw him, I was busy, and he needed to GO... Now.
  14. Locked diffs front & rear, hub conversion on front, full-float conversion on rear, engine mods for dayz, 6" coil conversion for suspension (cool for a YJ, all the way), 33s, Warn XD9000 winch (for other people, not me), front cage kit... and my prized possessions for the whole thing... HMMWV front shackles, mounted straight into the front bumper. "Liberated" those things from an Air Force HMMWV whilst on a deployment. Today, before I put the cover back on - it needs to get to the desert with me, again. Needs to come back home.
  15. WTF... 1993 YJ Wrangler, original owner, bought it new off the lot. In 1993. I can say "it's been on the east coast" since about Aug 2009, when I moved it to Virginia. It never made it back to the west coast, or the desert. I got out of VA in late 2010, made it to Ohio, and it's been in Ohio ever since. Time to fix that.
  16. Ohio Senate Bill 215 passed, and as of Monday, June 13th, 2022, Ohio is a Constitutional Carry State. Excellent! Way to go, Buckeyes! Here's an very good rundown on what changed, and what hasn't, for OH firearms: https://www.buckeyefirearms.org/answers-common-questions-about-ohio’s-new-permitless-carry-law I'm back here right now, visiting family in OH, since 2 June. Lot's of questions - mainly, everyone is worried about "regular people carrying handguns, concealed, that don't have any training..." Hey, I get it Fam - I do. I'm a BIG proponent of training. If you don't know how to do your own training, or handle a firearm safely - then seek out professional training. I really do get that, and support and encourage that... And I tell them this fact that they don't know... AZ turned into a Constitutional Carry State in July 2010. You don't see a bunch of untrained, loose-cannon, no-training-having jackasses running around AZ for the last 12 years, causing all kinds of problems... My step-dad made a comment today, asking "How does it feel to be here for 10 days, and not have your gun?" I casually slid the 43X out of the holster and showed it to him... He's 92, and didn't even know you could check firearms and fly them with you - didn't even know, even though I've told him multiple times about it. I flew 2 - 43X and 19X. At any rate - great news for Ohioans... Kudos to the lawmakers.
  17. You looking for a left-handed gun (ejection), that happens to be a side-charger? Or, are you looking for a side-charging gun, with the charging handle on the left side?
  18. We'll get @Matt.Cross in here - we shot his .308 Win AR last fall suppressed, with subsonic ammo, and it was amazing! Prior to playing with the subsonic ammo, we've shot it suppressed with match ammo for years and years. His gun handled it fine. Those subs were wild to shoot - hollywood-guiet.
  19. No worries at all, man - we just want gun to run, here. That's our whole focus in life, for this place. Well, we bullshiit a WHOLE LOT, too. That's the secondary priority...
  20. I've already shot one truck, brother. I didn't want to shoot the Jeep. Because, fiberglass.
  21. Perfect way to ask for help - you nailed it. What caliber? You never mentioned it, besides talking about the 300BLK. Many calibers in the Large Frame .308AR, we've done most of them, here. I ask that question because you directly asked about supersonic and subsonic ammo. In the large-frame, many times, there's not many options for subsonic ammo.
  22. FWIW - I didn't shoot him. I almost did. He was up in the roll cage at the A-pillar and the crossbar. The hardtop was on, and it's fiberglass. Like I've told @blue109 in the past, with the pool pump cover saga - I wish I knew more about fiberglass. If I did, and I knew I could fix it, I would have shot that snake. Still, to be continued...
  23. WHAT. THE. FUK!... I pulled a 4 ft blacksnake out of my Jeep today. That didn't go well, because he was happy there. To be continued...
  24. Those guys get their ballistic data from Call Of Duty. They should stick to the video games.
