  1. I'll try to find the data on that - I've got a bunch of Valk data in my thread on that thing, and it's comparison to the Grendel popular loads.

    Hunting pics

I might know of such a place - and NICE WORK, BROTHER!!! Those ABLRs are legit, man. 129s in a Grendel are supposed to be phenomenal.
  3. ^^^ This is how one should set up every single adjustable gas block out there. You START by running it wide open, and close it down until it doesn't lock back. Not the other way.
  4. ^^^ This.
  5. Do NOT put a 2.500" buffer in a gun that's designed for a 3.250" buffer!!! That BCG will recoil back and slam the shiit out of the ears on your lower receiver. You'll think that you just bought a PA-10. Don't do it...
  6. Exactly. Point taken, when he was posting them in the appropriate threads just the day before, too. At any rate, this isn't directed at him - but this was passed to me today, and I just can't let this slip by. ZERO inflection towards him, if that was even a thought - he comes back, or not - but this post has nothing to do with him, from me... But I have to post this, or I'll forget about it... https://frankieandmyrrh.com/products/spray-the-b-away I'm a bitch sometimes, and that's awesome. Here at Frankie and Myrrh, we think “bitch” is just another word for “a woman who gets stuff done.” But for the times you don't want to feel like a bitch, we created Spray the Bitch Away. A blend of light and calming essential oils come together for a refreshing and relaxing experience you just have to feel to believe. To help with PMS, hot flashes, menopausal issues, and overall general bitchiness, we use the two oils considered to be the best for those issues: Rose Geranium and Clary Sage. Then we add Lavender, Bergamot, and Frankincense, which all have a calming effect.
  7. WOW!!! FUK YT on that one! They were on that FAST AF, too! They determined that my video - in that SHORT amount of time, was age restricted, even though I checked the block that "It's NOT for kids..." They can eat a dick - it's even Unlisted, and NOT searchable via the Great WWW... I'll find another place to straight upload it. Fuk it - I'm yanking it from YT, and I'll straight load it right here. YT SUCKS... Video.mov
  8. Here's the first bowling ball, taking off. Crank up the volume, and "listen for the whistle..." If you've never seen these things in person, it's truly a sight to behold - and fear...
  9. More pics - story later... Kinda. First pic here is Scuba Steve's son - and he used a .22LR AR to do a "bottle cap challenge" on a plastic tea bottle at about 30 yards - and he pulled it off!!! Matt, working up THE PERFECT .300 Win Mag load, through the chrono... It's DAMN nice, too! DirtBike Tommy, and his sweet LaRue full gun - that he ordered 3 months after me, and received before the Fall Shoot, too... Damnit. Didn't turn out small, for a Sunday Morning Outing! Scuba Steve NEVER disappoints! We launched 2 bowling balls today... Solving the World's Problems... Gonna get some steel cylinders up in the hills! Matt, pointing those things out - because if you don't know where they are, you won't find them... .260 Goodness...
  10. So, no kidding, finally take up an invite from @JBMatt to shoot at HIS shooting location. This is a permanent location that they've got set up in their neck of the woods, and they have some ingenious targets out there, that they leave in the hills. Steel cylinders (oxy cylinders, welding cylinders, whatever you got), and you just lop the bottom of them off, and hang them over a t-post out there. They're always up there, because nobody can find them and take them. If they can't find them - they can't take them! So, long story short, they're out there, and my timing worked out - kinda. I had a guest with me. I'll pull the log book out and get the distances, but those things were something like 368 yards, 500 yards, 406 yards, and 305 yards... So, I took the .260. I'm getting sighted in, get everything sorted in my scope, with distances, and "my guest" wants to make this "more challenging" for me. and jumps on my back, like a damn human ghillie suit. Kinda. I don't know if I was on the 368 or the 406, but I was hitting the damn thing. After saying "STOP wiggling!!! STOP squirming!!!..." I have more pics that I'll post up - and it was a damn great morning out there. Until then... Here's my human ghillie suit - whilst trying to FIND the target on lower power, actually FINDING IT, then whist dialing up the magnification... Like a damn Spider Monkey...
  11. Lighten your buffer. It definitely appears to be a rifle buffer, on a rifle stock. There are 5 steel weights in an AR15 Rifle buffer, plus a spacer. There are 5 steel weights in a .308AR rifle buffer, no spacer. Remove one or two of the steel weights, replicate the length of those steel weights with a 1/2" diameter delrin spacer or two, and try that. No reason to stop now... Seriously... Not with the time you've put into this...
  12. Ditto what Mack said in this regard - Once Remington purchased DPMS, they killed all the historical files - and looking up serial numbers, or having access to CALL someone to find taht info for you - Remington killed it off. NOW, Remington has been killed off, broken up, and all parts of it have been sold to other companies. Vastly different companies bid and won different parts of "What Remingting used to be..." Sadly - direct links to the information that you are looking for, are now gone, and I doubt they'll ever, ever be back.
  13. ^^^ This, right here. 1st scenario you listed - too much spring, makes it look undergassed. Not locking back. 2nd scenario you listed - BCG running way too fast, and over-running the next round it's supposed to pick up. So, first spring obviously doesn't work, because you need more gas, or less recoil. CUTTING buffer weight would do it, with that spring. Next, install a standard spring, which really can't handle the amount of gas that you've got going on, and that BCG is flying. Easiest thing to do, in order to test... UP the buffer weight and see what happens. As SOON as you drill that gas port in that barrel WC will turn their back on you. They won't even help diagnose a gun you built from their parts, if they didn't assemble a full gun and ship it to you - and I don't blame them one bit for listing that on their website, either. Not their problem. Imagine what we go through here to try to get information out of people, for routine shiit - they'd go crazy trying to sort out what customers do with their own builds. However - we're not intimidated. Bring the pain... P.S. Lova ya,man - but you never did state in this thread what the buffer specifics were. Gotta be 3.250" long, but you never once mention the buffer weight... Smooches... ❤️
  14. ^^^ Update on this aspect of it - I punched that gas port up to where it should have been - 0.080~0.081" - and it eats that NEXUS Match ammo like a champ. MISTAKE on my labeling of it, though - it wasn't 130 Bergers loaded in that ammo - NEXUS loads it with 139gr Lapua Scenars. It's damn near right on par with my 147gr handloads out to 600 yards, and a slight edge going to the 147s at 850 yards. ^^^ Found out something like that on my .224 Valk, when I tore it down to rebuild/rebarrel it into a 6 ARC. Two screws for a piece of pic rail attachment were too long, and both those bastards were touching the Valk barrel. No wonder I didn't like that thing...
  15. This is interesting, too - and the higher the scope centerline is mounted over the barrel centerline (height over bore), the more it's gonna be off. 1.8" height over bore is bolt gun stuff. Even my Win Mag is 2.0" height over bore, and that's the best (lowest) I could get it with the 30 MOA rail on it. ARs are commonly 2.5" height over bore - so those are gonna be even further off target, than the distances given above, for the ranges given above...
  16. That's great info right there, brother, and spells it all out. That's also exactly why I put one of these things on almost every gun that's gonna go over 800 yards... You can pull 800, 850, with just about anything in your inventory, with enough practice and solid distance-fundamentals - and no bubble level. But man, it sure makes it easier for the spotter to give you accurate corrections, when you're shooting level, every single shot.
  17. Here it is on Amazon for $599, man - shop it HARD, but it's not getting better than this price... I'm just sayin'... https://www.amazon.com/Athlon-Optics-2-5-15x50-First-Riflescopes/dp/B087D8CXK8
  18. Athlon Ares BTR HD series, and they have a 2.5~15x50 illumintated mil reticle, and I have that scope (x2) on 2 rifles. Gen 1 was nice, and I love it, and bought a Gen 2 with the stainless guts in it. Big improvement that they did. MIL or MOA, your choice, which is cool as hell, and why I love Athlon... Here's the lineup: https://athlonoptics.com/product-category/rifle-scopes/athlon-optics-rifle-scopes-ares-btr-gen2/ Here's the one I bought, twice - you'll drop a grand for it, but you can find it lower if you shop it hard enough: https://athlonoptics.com/product/rifle-scopes-ares-btr/
  19. OEM DPMS does it, on LR-308 lowers. Aero M5, too, brother.

    Grilling

Saw that one, too - isn't that just about a COMPLETE crock of shiit?!... Saw something on the sides of the players helmets - yeah, just jersey numbers. PC Bullshiit is ruiing the entire country... Sorry, Grilling thread. I'll get a pic of my turkey up here soon.
  21. ^^^ I concur with THAT one!
  22. They're both BEASTS!!!...
  23. Primary Arms released their Gold Line mounts now - the ones I was talking about after SHOT last year. They're pretty damn nice, 0 MOA and 20 MOA versions available for the rings sizes that they make, and they're around $90 or so. Worth looking at if you don't want a LaRue mount, and can't find the discontinued old-skool Armalite mounts. Here they is: https://www.primaryarms.com/1+Scope-Mounts/Brand+Primary-Arms/MCategories+Optics/custitem_optic_series+GLx
  24. Welcome aboard, man. Glad to see that you'll be searching, so here's a shortcut of information on the search function. As you can see, the search function can work very, very well - or it sucks. It's honestly easy to find what you're looking for, if the search is used properly. Check this out when you have time:
