  1. Can we grill them? What's gonna happen? I'll risk it. Bring 'em down, brother.
  2. Whaddaya mean, "You at 7..." - You STILL do that, brother!!!
  3. Completely true, all of it.
  4. ^^^ This is Golden...
  5. They do good parts, have no fear of it. THey use to source all their BCGs from ToolCraft, but now they're making them all themselves. It's good stuff.
  6. @JBMatt has a barrel cooler, and I've got an IR temp gun that I use for work, brother. Don't worry about bringing any of that for the Fall Shoot - we already have it. Pack Light... We got you, no questions asked... EDIT - And now, we have TWO Garmin chronos to use, so we're covered on that part, as well.
  7. Lake City NATO brass, 75gr Hornady HPBTs, CCI 41 primers and 24.2 grains of RL-15 has been my go-to load for years. Gets me 2789 fps from an 18" barrel. You'll see that Varget and RL-15 are almost direct replacements for each other. You can generally take someone else's RL-15 load, use Varget, and it's safe to shoot, won't hurt you, and will be damn, damn close to identical. Same goes the other way, take a Varget recipe, substitute RL-15, and you'll be fine and safe, and it'll work great. Might need to tweak a tenth of a grain here or there, but it'll work for testing, and might just work great enough not to mess with.
  8. You'll love that LaRue upper, Jeff - I have two of them, and they're fantastic.
  9. That sucks for me, pretty bad. I use alot of the Reloder powder line. Fuq Ukraine, and all the other BS causing this...
  10. Told ya! ALL!!!
  11. The 7s fuckin' ROCK! And they smoke 300s...
  12. Can I say this excites me a little?... The 7mm heavies blow the 300 heavies away. For Distance. Doesn't matter 300 Win Mag, 300 PRC, whatever... the 7s in heavy will smoke the 300s... I'm fired up over this project...
  13. Paging @Robocop1051... Emergency, Aisle 5, immediate cleanup needed...
  14. Hell Fukkin' YEAH!!! Brother, I loved that. I could hit my sister with those things if she was anything inside of 20 yards...
  15. Brandon Herrera. He completely went Dead Pool on this release... He's running for congress in Tejas - if you live in his district - VOTE FOR HIM...
  16. Better Lubricity (actual real term), smoother operation over a phosphated carrier, easier cleaning, unless you shoot suppressed for 4 years and never clean it (looking at you @Matt.Cross)... Phosphated carriers are "mil spec" all the way, but that doesn't mean the real world hasn't out-paced that old standard. Modern technology results in Chromed carriers, Nickle boron carriers (NiB), Black Nitrided carriers, DIamond-Like Coating carriers (DLC), PVD and CVD coatings... Much more efficient operating system, better technology... It's a real thing, and the real deal. Here's a blurb from the Cryptic Coatings webpage: "Cryptic Coatings specializes in bolt carrier groups and BCG coatings. Our PVD and CVD processes are designed to provide reduced friction, lower operating temperatures and increased overall performance and BCG life."
  17. I would pull some shiit like that - cleanup would TOTALLY be worth it...
  18. Just got confirmation that the 12.5" Shaw barrel is shipping - after the pre-order was placed at the end of December. 12.5" midlength gas, which isn't easy to pull off in a 5.56 barrel, let alone another caliber. We'll see how this one goes. If I remember right, the last 12.5" 5.56 midlength gas gun that I did up was a barrel from KAK, and it shipped with a gas port diameter that was 0.070", and I thought that was gonna be too small. That thing ran like a CHAMP like that. It'll be interesting to see what the details are on this one, when it comes in next week.
  19. I'd risk it, and make a pass with brand new, unfired brass, straight into the 22 ARC die, and see what happened. I'd try a sample size of 5, and if all 5 didn't come out perfect, the rest would get the Grendel sizer first, then the 22 ARC sizer.
  20. HOLY SHIITTTTT!!!!
  21. Was it hacked, brother? Or did the software just crash?
  22. That works if his notifications are set up right. Shoot him a PM and he'll get an email that he has a PM...
  23. Love me some @308kiwi, too, and miss the guy.
