I just went through this with a PSA large-frame complete upper receiver that I was fixing for a member here. It WOULD NOT match up with an Aero Precision lower receiver. Please list all the different uppers that worked with your PSA Gen 2 lower, because I've found that their uppers and lowers are not compatible with other receivers... I'm looking forward to your feedback.

Messed with one at the Gun Pusher's place - the trigger is great in that thing.

Left Side Charging Uppers -- Seeking Options and Opinions

Yeah, I think The Rule is gonna get ya on this one... -
You guys need a Viking Cleaver (broad axe cleaver). I think I can get my red viking brother to agree.

^^^ Yep, that's it right there. Locals moved in when the FBI wouldn't do anything about it, and the locals fucked up the "next-whatever" that this would have been cultivated into. You nailed it.

I laughed yesterday when I saw his response, and thought the same exact thing - "We got a reader here, men!" I almost posted that last night, but I didn't wanna scare Cletus off yet. Cletus, that's not a bad thing - it's a good thing. Most of the time, the people that show up and simply implode within "days-or-10-posts" is amazing... and you know they never saw that one before the implosion...

It's getting better here - I don't think I'll be able to "beg" any more rain out of this monsoon season, that's just about done. This past week, though, MAN what nicer nights! We've finally hit a few nights with lows that hit 79 or 78. A low of anything under 80 is a blessing at this time of the year. The next two weeks are looking good. We're lower 100s on highs right now, with the occasional day at 105 or 106. Instead of the norm. I've got 106, 106,and 107 finishing out these last 3 days of August, but by September 23rd, there are no more triple-digit highs anymore. Gone. That's kinda early for it to end, but I won't miss 'em. Come the time of the Fall Shoot, men, we'll he high 80s for the highs, and mid-to-low 50s fir the nights. Gonna be a GREAT TIME!!!

^^^ Yep. I did that with my first one from them.

Damn. The OG Jungle Boot maker... frauding.

Get receivers from the same company, and you already mentioned Aero - go with them. They are great large frame receivers. Fantastic. I'm pretty sure you can get a matched bolt with both Faxon, and Ballistic Advantage (Aero owns BA, now, too). Rainier Arms will do it for you, too. There are also companies that will match YOUR bolt to one of their barrels, when you buy the barrel from them. If you want a dead-on barrel, then call Wilson Combat - and ask if they'll headspace YOUR bolt to one of their barrels. Trigger. Yep, you nailed it. Good barrel, solid fitment, and a good trigger are going to make your accurate gun. Gas block? Get a Geissele Super Gas Block, and pin it. It's set up for it, and it's easy to do.

I like this guy already - welcome aboard.

I will DEFINITELY bring this up!...

I finally get a paycheck next Friday, after my longer-than-anticipated work delay, so I need to throw a bunch of back-money at you. You're worse than the Tool Truck guy at work... "No worries man, it's truck-credit - take the tool, and pay me what you can, when you can..." fornicate me, I owe two tool truck guys, too...

@jtallen83 watch this before you make a decision. This is an excellent video on the whole .22LR affair on the AR platform... https://www.full30.com/video/c8a88c12d3052a8cb67b0fa65ba097d0 -
Just chambered one by hand, on the upper receiver only (separated from lower receiver). Bolt closes just fine on it, no marks on the projectile of any kind. Pulled the chargind handle and BCG back enough to expose the ejection port completely. Pushed the BCG forward enough to enter the ejection port area, locked the rim of the round onto the extractor, pushed it down towards the chamber (pushing it down onto the ejector), and slowly pushed the BCG into the upper until it locked in place, and the bolt was locked in the extension. Worked like a charm. They chamber alright.

I've got a Jard 2lb trigger in a 20" AR15 heavy-barreled precision gun. It's a good trigger, but there are alot more triggers out there now that will outperform it. I bought mine a long time ago, and it was good then - but you have more options now.

HOLY SHIIT, BROTHER!!!

1:9" twist is fine with the 40gr round nose .22LR ammo. It'll do just fine. Cleaning them is easy as hell, too - at the end of the range trip, pop out the .22LR BCG, slap the 5.56 BCG back in there and let go with about 5 rounds - that will remove all the leading from the gas port, with a quickness. Voila, cleaned. Leading removed. This is the design that's supposed to be the sheit, right here: https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/60999/Accessories/Conversion+Kits/CMMG+22BA6E1+AR-15+22LR+25RD+Bravo+Conversion+Kit If you wanted to get REALLY freaky with it, you could buy a 1:12" twist barrel for it, or even a 1:16" barrel, and make a dedicated gun. If you already have an AR that you don't shoot much, get that kit, a slow-twist barrel, and bam, done. Good 22AR, right there. All real AR15 parts, no weird shiit, and you can still stuff a 5.56 round through it with a BCG change. -

Watch out for some of those dedicated guns, with proprietary parts. It depends on how far you want to go, really. I know that Battle Arms Dev makes a safety selector for the S&W M&P 15/22, because the factory safety is quite different than an AR15 part. Just an example. Mine is just a CMMG adapter, OLD, OLD, OLD... I think I bought that thing in 2009, at a Virginia gun show. It was phosphated, and it took awhile to "break in" and cycle right. I've heard that the NiB ones don't need that, and cycle fine right out of the box. I ended up leaving it in my Oly Arms PCR-16, for good. That's my dedicated .22LR AR now. This is mine, picked it up with a mag for $125, then bought two extra mags at $20 ea. Wasn't bad for gun-show prices in 2009-ish. -

Most excellent! Everybody needs one of these things. That's fantastic, Doc! -
That's a badass engine, right there...

Remove he pin from the gasblock, that holds the gas tube in there, and you can remove the gas tube - I'd definitely do that (and I do every time) when I'm messing around with the barrel nut. Knock that roll pin out, and don't lose it, and slide that gas tube back out of the gasblock. You can twist/rotate it and take it out of the upper receiver then.
