  1. That's not true - I've worked as an Admin on several - many - Invision-powered message boards since 2004. What you're saying is just bullshiit.
  2. Just to preserve what you posted... that's the only reason I quoted your full post...
  3. Oh, make no mistake - you'll dothat all on your own, just as you did the previous two times under two different names. You've pretty much just done it already... Good job.
  4. Same pics you posted last time, under your different usernames... All those suggestions that were made before, are in the links to your previous posts, above. But then again, what do I know...
  5. Cerakote base coat is baking now. Comes out in an hour, gets cooled and assembled, then the top coat goes on and gets finished. It's 100 degrees here, with 8% humidity, so it might as well be a "painting weekend." There's alot more that's getting painted this weekend. This damn rifle is gonna take all day, today, though. Paint + Beer = Take your time and do it right.
  6. PIcs of the current configuration will help tremendously. Get some pics up, and we'll be able to work through it. Lived in Tacoma area for 12 years. Miss the area, and don't miss the current politics not one bit. Would love to go back one day, but never can - not with the LibTards over-running everything there, and just ruining the place.
  7. This is fuckin' AWESOME...
  8. ^^^ Very valid points.
  9. This ^^^ cracks me up... It's done, minus a few small pieces here and there. I need a Seekins bolt catch, lock plate and lock ring for the receiver extension. I don't have any idea how I ran out of those things... This is what it is. I'm stripping it now to paint it - probably my best paintjob yet. Paint pics up here tonight. Weighs 7.27 lbs as it sits, unloaded.
  10. Just got the email announcement from Aero Precision - they are now selling the most excellent E-Lander Grendel magazines, right through them. This is good new for Grendel shooters. Price is a little steep, but it's still another source. https://aeroprecisionusa.com/spare-parts/lower-receiver-parts/l/e-lander.html?sc_src=email_3431172&sc_lid=175428067&sc_uid=djONP5e7of&sc_llid=95742&utm_source=Emarsys&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=New+Products+-+E-Lander+Magazines+05.16.182018-05-19+19%3A18%3A00&sc_eh=43b8238c5b3a6fbe1
  11. Please define "rough." Is tequila involved?...
  12. That's what I'm saying - this is way off the tracks... ...but, this sums it up. These "feelings" kids and snowflakes think that guns are the answer to bullying, being ugly, nobody likes me, whatever. They don't know how to rationalize anymore. They just act out, most usually, with some else's guns...
  13. WTF? http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/05/19/georgia-high-school-shooting-leaves-1-dead-1-hurt-police-say.html
  14. ^^^ Exactly. We had a badass 308 BCG here with DWilson, but that dried up. There's no other place I'll ever look, for a 308 OR 556 BCG, than ToolCraft, ever again. My last two 6.5 Grendel BCGs were ToolCraft.
  15. I think the canned chicken got his a$s. He's been AWOL. I hope he's okay, after eating that monstrosity.
  16. Don't spend that money. Find a ToolCraft 308 BCG in nitride for alot less. ToolCraft makes their money supplying ALOT of OEM manufacturers with "their own" 5.56 BCGs. ToolCraft has been in this business for a long time. Search out the best deal on a ToolCraft 308 nitrided BCG and be done with it.
  17. Tons of great 2-stage triggers out there, some cheaper, some more expensive. Question is, what kind of quality are you looking for? You'll never beat a Geissele, ever. Many come close, and there are many alternatives, at lower price points. You'll never beat a LaRue MBT2S, at it's price point - no matter what you try to buy. You might wait for it, though, for months. I think it's still on sale for $99. That LaRue is directly comparable with a Geissele SSA trigger, and the Geissele SSA-E is a little better - but that's an additional $100, minimum, just for the SSA. We can talk triggers for hours, man. I've pretty much bought them all, over time - and still have them all, after all this time.
  18. No update from the OP on this one?... @Mike Wilcher, how is this rifle?...
  19. I'd bet my money that a 16" 7mm-08 would be pretty damn decent on a 1000-yard range. I took a 12.5" 6.5 Grendel to 845 yards, with boring repeatability. BORING repeatability. 10.2 mils of drop. Bang. Every time.
  20. For 300 yards?... You have so many options, for a 300-yard gun. All in the .308 parent-case. Pick what you want. Just make sure you pick up a decent 2-stage trigger. This ain't a bolt gun.
  21. Point being, in my post - a .308 Win AR in 16" is more than capable for what you're describing. The 7mm-08 us a WAY more efficient round over .308, and a 16" 7mm-08 would be even better - less drop, flat shooting, more impact energy - than the 16" .308.
  22. If the distance is that short, and you're looking at a .308 parent case, have you considered a .338 Federal? I built up a 16" .338 Fed as a pig gun, but I haven't been able to put it on any pigs yet.
  23. Less recoil let's you watch it all go down in the scope, without the scope moving...
  24. Let's just load up some hot 45-70 then!
  25. He's an enabler. Watch him.
