  1. You keep up with the slams and insults, and this conversation is going to take a different turn.
  2. I adopted that plan as well, in a conversation with Matt Cross. I relayed that convo to Rob, and gamed it all out - with everything I need for this fall shoot, its gonna be tough to get it all together in time... SO, why not just buy the barrel and rebarrel an old 308 that I don't shoot?... I did steal the idea from you, though, brother...
  3. However, it's the most thought out plan of attack yet. It's an actual plan of action, with details, on how to accomplish a huge win for the 2A side, give us more freedoms than we currently have (it actually gives you back two or three classes of NFA items, over the counter, zero wait time). It gives you all this and no record of transaction - just verification that "you're licensed." In addition, I'm pretty positive that the article stated that it would be Federal Law in it's base, and states could not over-ride the basic freedoms in that law - which would be a huge win for those proud 2A supporters in restrictive states - CA, NY NJ,CT, MA, VT now... If it's a win for them, it's a win for all of us countrywide.
  4. Yeah, so you read it,right? Then why do you think it's "registration?..." Because you didn't read it.

    Grilling

Just a tick under 450 on the grill, 7 minutes per side. Found these thick t-bones at the store and couldn't resist!
  6. I hate those armored bastards...
  7. This right here is what leads me to believe that you didn't even read the linked article, that was originally posted by another member here. You keep saying "my plan" "my plan." It's not MY plan. Any arguments you have against it are moot - until you read it. So, hit the link, read the article...
  8. 1,000 yard milk jug challenge.
  9. Sorry, I misspoke, too - spell out your plan to defeat what's gonna happen with the next Dem President. Just spell it out. List your plan on how to defeat what they WILL do to our gun rights.
  10. Met up with Larry this morning, drove down to his location. Quick drive, about 25 miles from Casa De Pain to where he was. Pulled in around 8:15am, and everybody was up and moving - Larry was up and moving WAY before the rest of the family. I hit the address right, and pulled in right in front of a badass toyhauler, with his truck beside it. I knew I was in the right place. Called him from in front of his toyhauler, and told him I was there. I see feet moving in the background, behind it, and I think it's Larry... HOLY SHIIT! Some giant dude comes around the corner of the camper... I'm talking about a monster... I stick my hand out and say, "I'm Tom, how are ya?" That was Jesse, Larry's oldest son - and Larry comes through the door of the camper... "So, you met my oldest son..." "Uh, yeah - you CAN'T make small ones, can ya?!!?" We get into the camper, and immediately, Larry's wife tells me she's got biscuits and gravy already done, do I want eggs, and have I had breakfast yet. I hadn't eaten breakfast, but you don't turn that down, ever. Awesome... We get to the painted gun parts, the pistol goodies, and transition to the latest paint on the newest Grendel. I end up taking a rifle from Larry to paint - his truck gun - plus a badass Cumbre Malpais Stout beer - and they're all heading to an aquarium in Phx. I was lifting the tab on that beer right then, and Larry says, "You don't have to drink that right now, if you don't want to..." I was ready to start on it right then... We didn't stop talking until the others were saying "Hey, you ready to leave? We're heading out..." Awesome short meet-up again, and I appreciate the hospitality more than you know, brother - that was awesome. What a badass house, and location, too. They are living my dream, brother... At any rate, there's gonna be a couple more painted up rifles coming up soon... Larry's truck gun, and the Pig Puncher .338 Fed... Thanks again, Larry, for an awesome morning, leading into a great weekend... I just finished that beer, brother, and it's badass...

    Sit Rep

That was a tough thing for me to break, shooting-wise. It's been more than 10 years now, and I'm fully converted over to yards, but still love the mil-dot system. I won't deviate from that combination, it just works.
  12. YES!!! Right on, man!!! Get with me on reloading info -the Hornady 10 manual is a little off for velocity, and their load data has the real rounds running hotter than published speeds. It's either that, or I have two different barrels (from two different manufacturers) that are shooting great, and shoot hotter than most others. I don't think it's the barrels.
  13. Excellent video from Sam Millard at Panhandle Precision on bullet seating depth. There's alot of information out there on it, but the way Sam goes through information is almost like Army training - make it easy to digest, and understandable to all involved in the training... I've only recently been interested in this, from a "measuring and fine tuning" perspective. I did some experimentation for the Mk12 Mod 0, changing seating depths in 0.005" increments, and I hit a sweet spot that the specific barrel liked. I stuck with it. Ironically, that same seating depth for my 75gr Hornady HPBT load works excellently in all my other precision-based 5.56 guns. So I never went further into it after that. The 6.5 Grendel and the .300 Win Mag have me wondering, now. The Mk 12 didn't - that thing is boringly accurate at 600 yards, and will do 800 yards all day long. The 6.5g and 300 Win Mag will go a hell of alot farther than that... I've got my 6.5G load figured out now, and it works great in two radically different 6.5G guns. I haven't put alot of load development into the Win Mag yet. I'll pick up some special tools for checking/setting/adjusting seating depth for the Grendel, and see where it goes. It'll make a difference for the Win Mag, too. Here's Sam's vid on checking max seating depth, and where to start and where to go on this stuff:
  14. That's the right thing to do, man - before you start changing parts, looking for binding points, etc... If you went through that, you'd get frustrated, and they would have a reason to say "You modified it or tampered with it - no warranty..." Let us know what happens, and be ready for them to find an issue and fix it, and not tell you what it was. That happens in this industry often.
  15. So, because you don't have a need for it, it's a bad idea. You don't need the benefits in that plan - and it's not my plan, someone else wrote that -so, you don't need those giant benefits in there that would help a very large population in the 2A crowd - so it's not a valid plan. Got it. Because you don't need those items, and think they're simply "range toys," then you can't see the benefit of not going through the Tax Stamp process for suppressors and SBRs/SBSs... Full auto, also, was never, ever included in that plan for "Semi-Auto License." Ever.
  16. You wanna get in here and talk SO MUCH shiit about what I'm saying- and you never posted in the thread I'm talking about. AT ALL. You were a member here when it came up. You said NOT SHIIT in that thread. Nothing. But, NOW you wanna address it. I suggest you go back and research what you think you're talking about- because you have not a clue. You're just blindly slingly your rhetoric, with zero solutions. Get on board with something, or you're going to be left behind... and bitching about it when you're left behind... Go check the history, here, that you're bitching about:
  17. Let me give you a GLIMPSE of what THEY are thinking... while you yell about a repeal, and inches. Here's THEIR insight... https://ylpr.yale.edu/inter_alia/restricted-firearms-license-proposal-preserve-second-amendment-rights-and-reduce-gun They're so far ahead of you, it's not even funny. THAT is the plan from Yale University. You better get onboard with some serious solutions, or just yell about repeal and inches. While your rights go away. You wanna bitch about compromise... There's not gonna BE any compromise with the next Dem Pres. Zero. Hedge your bets, think otherwise... whatever. You and I are gonna be felons, soon. For NOTHING. We were legal last election, now we're felons. Know why? The 2A couldn't get their shiit together, and they got whipped by liberals that don't know a damn thing. THAT is reality, coming soon to a theater near you. Much sooner than you think.
  18. They dont give a shiit about revolvers. They only want "Assault Weapons." Right now. Get out there and protect your assault weapons, with something more than rhetoric, and something more substantial than what's in the "Semi-Auto License" link. Show me SOMETHING that's more substantial than that. Anything. Shiit, anything from you would be better than the rhetoric... THINK, man, THINK. Prove some damn points here, and post a plan... Come up with a BETTER plan than what we're talking about, and I'll listen to you. Right now, you're just yelling about routine things that you can't prove, pass, or legitimize.
  19. Make it so. What's YOUR PLAN, man?... HOW do you accomplish this?...
  20. Cite how many suppressors and SBRs have been blatantly confiscated. Show me the numbers, from the people that went through this exact same process - and had their Suppressors and SBRs just randomly confiscated. Numbers. Not conjecture. That's a LibTard problem. Go deal with them. Prove your point to them. Not here. That's not an argument or discussion point for here. We already get it. Now get out and prove it, publicly. Tell me your training points in how to accomplish this task - show me your lesson plan. Expound on your ideas on how to accomplish this - instead of blindly pushing the question, with zero solutions. Be a part of the solution - or you're part of the problem... LIST OUT your plan on how to accomplish that. If you don't have a plan, then it's just rhetoric. You're just talkin', like THEY'RE just talkin'... What is your plan? You already said it, so it's in your mind... now think about how to accomplish it. Or not. And just kep talking about it, and screaming about inches... You do something now, or the next Dem Pres is going to have you looking for a better place in Australia - or firing a wrist rocket.
  21. Wow. I looked at what they DO have in stock, and they are WAY overpriced. They have +$800 upper receivers. All they do is upper receivers. Makes sense, as a "gun company" in Cali, too. They're proud of their parts, I can say that. I looked at what was available, and I didn't see any $800 uppers there. Please let us know how this turns out... Send that shiit back...
  22. Don't know if you researched them before you bought, but here's their "mission statement," of sorts. https://olympusarms.com/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=4 As of this posting, they currently have zero options for uppers in their "308 Uppers" tab...
  23. Bickety-Bam. Shiit goes back to the manufacturer. Seriously. Here's the link to their Lifetime Warranty page: https://olympusarms.com/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=8 Here's the link to the form on that page: https://olympusarms.com/returns-form.pdf Don't even mess with it, I'm not kidding. Anything you do can/might cause a warranty denial. Just send it back, with this full description that you've given here. Let them deal with it.
  24. DNP is the only guy I know that can pull this off, too. The pics, from that distance....
  25. If I paint it beforehand... it blends in even better, brother... I have a plan for FallShoot, this year. For the ones that don't do High Angle... Find me. From Base Camp, when we're up there - take a picture of me in those rocks up there, and prove to me that camo doesn't work... It's either photographic evidence, or it's not...
