  1. You guys fuk around like this, and we'll be Australia. I'm just sayin'. It's time to come up with a plan, and when someone presents one, it's the same thing everytime - "NO! NOTHING! EVER!" That's gonna backfire, I'm telling you now. Come up with a plan, instead of denying everything. Do it.
  2. When was the last time a late mortgage payment a denial on a 4473? Why was the last time an overdue library book a denial on a 4473? When was the last time a misdemeanor conviction, that wasn't domestic violence, a denial on a 4473?... When?
  3. Brother - it pretty much IS. Free suppressors and Short-barreled anything in the process to approve "Semi-Auto License" laws. That article spells it out. Shiit, it's like having a license to buy whatever you want, ANY semi-auto pistol or rifle, ANY suppressor, ANY short-barreled-whatever... Just pass the background check, with fingerprints, picture, paperwork packet. BAM! Get your license. You already did that once - to get at least one suppressor. What's the difference? I'll tell you what the difference is, right here. You think that Parkland fuk would have been approved to have a suppressor, or SBR? You think that Waffle House fuk would have passed those same checks? Fuk no, they wouldn't have. THIS is a way to get into the "mental" side of it for semi-auto firearms, without getting into HIPPA bullshiit. "Oh, sorry, you didn't pass. You don't get your semi-auto license. However, you can appeal here..." You guys aren't looking into everything in that article. This is a win for us all, looks like a "compromise" to the gun grabbers, and doesn't affect any - ANY - legal gun owner. In fact, it give legal gun owners an easy way to legally obtain NFA items... You guys can't cling to the "NOT ONE MORE INCH!!!" mentality into the future, and not think that it's gonna backfire. It will. It could have already, but we got lucky with The Donald. Otherwise, it would have already been gone. The "not one more inch" mentality of zero compromise won't last, in the future, once it's Dem-controlled everything. Felons. All of us. As soon as those elections are over. Call me the Harbinger of Death, call me an idiot, call me whatever you want. The very next time that Dems control everything, you'll be calling me a fucking prophet, for seeing this shiit before it happened. "Not one more inch" isn't going to solve this shiit, so those on that bandwagon better figure out a plan. That zero-tolerance attitude is gonna backfire. This article linked in the first post is a brilliant plan, to defeat that shiit forever. If "forever" comes, and they eventually want to come for everything, even those with the "Semi-Auto LIcense," then it won't matter anyway. The revolution would have already been going.
  4. You guys on the "not one more inch" contingent are not thinking about what the author of this article wrote. You're losing nothing, and not even losing an inch. Not even one millimeter. This is the exact same process that you need to go through to get NFA items approved - and many here have already done it. You go through this process, and you get your "Semi-Auto License." Done. It's good, for anything semi-auto, AND suppressors AND SBRs/short-barreled whatever. At the point that you get approved for this license, you walk into your gun pusher and say, "Hey, that's a mighty nice AAC suppressor you got there! It's only $800? I'll take it - here's my license..." You don't do through a background check, no paperwork is filed when it's recorded to your license #, you hand him your money, and you walk out with it. Then. Right then. Or, maybe you saw a sweet DD Mk18, complete. Same process. Give them your money, record the transaction, and walk away with it, right then. Just like buying a shotgun at Walmart. The "not one more inch" mentality is gonna hurt this side of the argument, when you don't even want to hear what the other side has to offer. You won't even listen to it, and just yell "NOT ONE MORE INCH, SHALL YE TAKE, IN THIS FIELD TODAY!!!" "Compromise" in this isn't an option. There will be some compromise, in the future, if we keep holding on to the "Nothing! Ever!!!" mentality. The only problem is... if we keep going down this road, the "compromise" will not be to our liking, not in the least. It won't be a compromise. This about this - how much "compromise" do you think would be going on right now if Hitlery beat The Donald? And in 2018, she corrupted the elections into a Dem-controlled everything? You wouldn't have any fucking "compromise" anything. We'd all be Felons, retroactively. Period. This "not one more inch" thing needs to get resolved, and fast, for the future of this country. Go read what that article says again, with that in mind. That's a fucking valliant WIN in there, on our side. Big time. And if becomes Federal law that no state can trample on...
  5. That was way before 1934, and that was not in the US, with the Constitution backing them up.
  6. That happened about the same time as the NFA, brother. How has that confiscation worked out here, in the USA, since 1934? That list was created, here, then.
  7. That's paranoia. When, in recent times, has anyone come after the "list of suppressor owners, SBR and SBS owners, etc." We, as a country, decide on who can abuse this, federally. Federally, no one has come after these items yet, for law abiding citizens, and it's been going on since 1934. When they DO decide to come after those people, "on that list since 1934," that would begin the next revolution, and they already know that. Those people "on that list" are the most law-abiding of the law-abiding. Give me a heads up when they come for you. And the MA and MD guys referenced. Lemme know. That means they're coming for me, too, the "regular guy."
  8. What are we giving up, here? What are we losing in this proposal? What do we give away, and lose forever by doing this?...
  9. That's not even part of this discussion then - we're not even close to discussing any city regulations in this topic. EDIT - in which, would be trounced by this Federal license...
  10. Just let me know when they come knocking on your door, telling you that you have to give up your NFA items. I'm sure we'l hear from Greg and Ron at the same time, about NFA items. Of course, we won't have to read about it here - the revolution will be fully underway.
  11. You lost me right there, when you used BB guns as an argument against this. Those things arean't even regulated, in any way. I can buy a full-auto CO2-powered BB gun online, right now. Next.
  12. Point out those histrionics, as they specifically pertain to guns in the US...
  13. Greg has a FEDERAL license for his SBRs, in Mass. Ron has a FEDERAL license for his SBRs, in MD. What state entity in either of those states can take their equipment from them?... The short answer is "none," as long as they don't break the law...
  14. #1. They don't take away your driver's license if you don't break the law. True or not? I've never had my driver's license taken away... #2. They can't take away your right to vote unless you're a convicted Felon. Not a convicted "misdemeanor" guy, or a traffic-ticket guy... What's the theme on what I've stated? Breaking the law... Furthermore, this would be a FEDERAL license. You have a FEDERAL license for your suppressors. What state law enforcement agency can come to you and take away your suppressor?...
  15. Let me ask you this? Are you for or against National Reciprocity for CCW?...
  16. There's already a federally mandated license to have suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, DDs, Full-Auto weapons, end everything else that's covered under the NFA... It's already there... We already have to do it, to obtain these items. You have to go through probably the most intensive background check in your life - unless you've been through the TS Clearance process - and none of those are being routinely confiscated, by and large...
  17. You have to register ARs in Cali - so far there's not been any widespread confiscation, and there won't be, as long as they don't secede from the rest of the US. Same in New York. No widespread confiscation. Other nations, other times - yes. Not in the US, and not in these times. JMHO.
  18. Here's the best I can do with a quick search, $79 at JoeBob's. https://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Toolcraft-Black-Nitrite-Bolt-Carrier-Group-AR15-M-p/tool-tooauto-011bn.htm
  19. I register my car, annually (or multi-annually). They're not taking my car/truck/whatever. I register to vote - they're not taking away my right to vote.
  20. And just one more point - THIS idea isn't "registration." It's not even close. It's just a license. To own any and all kinds of semi-autos. Sure, there would be a database, but it's not "registering everything you own." I have a driver's license. I don't have to tell them what kind of car or truck I have - hell, I can drive my friend's car, and it's legal - because I'm legal... I have my license to drive. Car registration is DIFFERENT THING. That pays for my plates, it doesn't determine if I can drive legally or not...
  21. Semi-Auto License. Guess what? Bump-stock. It's not "illegal" yet, and it shouldn't be. It doesn't change the character of the semo-auto AR that it's hooked to - that AR still fire a single round from a single trigger pull. Hell, we've all said it - what are they gonna do NEXT, BAN belt loops?! Right now, bump stocks are only a ban in certain over-reaching STATE laws that were recently enacted. Know what this Semi-Auto License would do? Those state laws don't mean shiit... Instead of everyone jumping on the "not one more inch" path right away - really read that article, and think about what it can do...
  22. Fixed that. That's the Armalite AR-10 Carbine receiver extension. Some PSA PA-10 receiver extensions were 8.000" internal depth, not sure if you were aware of that - and it's being fixed at PSA. Kudos to them on that part, because they listen, adapt, and fix it. Look, guy - I'm here to help, not hinder. That's why I asked for the info up front. The take-away from this should be: When people here are asking you for info, it's for a reason. They want to help, and solve the issue you're describing. Sometimes, they'll ask for more details - they're not trying to be dikcs - it's just that your description doesn't match anything in the known gun-universe, and they need more details as to what's really going on. The perfect example of this is: "I'm having a double-feed!" Really. You have two live rounds trying to enter the chamber at the same time? THAT is a magazine issue, and it's not going to be anything else. Ever. Come to find out, they have a Failure to Extract (FTE), or a Failure to Eject (also FTE) issue. Those two mafunctions don't have to do with magazines, like a true Double-Feed does... I hope you can smell what I'm spreadin' here...
  23. I'm not aware of any aftermarket receiver extensions in a 7.375" internal depth, for anything out there. That would be 7 3/8".
  24. I've had a7.100" internal depth receiver extension cause functional issues in 308 ARs. The spec is 7.000" internal depth, based off the AR-15 carbine receiver extension, not longer. So, there's that. The 3.8oz buffer is light for a 308AR. That's AR15 carbine buffer weight, right there. The length is good, if it's a true 2.500". Just information for you. With this combination, you should probably run a heavier 2.500" buffer (around AR15 Carbine H3 weight), and the Sprinco orange spring, and stack one quarter in the receiver extension - if you're stuck on keeping that receiver extension. Stacking two would bring you under the 7.000" internal depth that would make a proper, functioning recoil system for a 308 AR... I could have given all this information out, had I known the specs previously...
