Try and find a dpms 3g1 LR308 for sale on the internet.  I don't think you can.  Ok, I did find ONE, for $1,000 more than list, (with extra mags and ammo), that's been sitting over year and a half.  I've read that dpms is moving manufacturing, but that still doesn't explain ONE 308 3g1 after months of searching.  What gives?

Why are you having a hard time finding one then?...

You say it's been out for two years, but you can't find one.  That's a search-engine issue, and not a 308AR.com issue, I'm thinking.

Why can't you find a rifle that's been out for two years?...

You didn't state 5.56 or .308 Win - what are you looking for?

Here's the 5.56 version - backordered.   You'll have to call Midway to find out what is going on...

I think you need to call DPMS, since it's been available for two years.

I seriously think you need to call DPMS on this.  Report your findings, and then we'll all know what gives.

You could possibly do as 98 is suggesting, maybe call DPMS.  They might be able to tell you some production numbers.  it could be that they aren't being produced in the numbers that other mainstream rifles are.

Other than that, all we can do is conjecture.

I guess maybe I should be asking... since I know LR308 3g1's are out there, and being used in competition and such, why aren't they being resold, at least on the internet?

This all falls back to DPMS - and you calling them for information.  Furthermore, relaying that information to us, if you wish.

I don't know why I'm getting that strange feeling that you're asking us this, like we owe you something?...  Like we're to blame here?...

What information did you find out?...

It's really seeming like you're holding us accountable for the information that YOU can't find from DPMS...

EDIT - and you haven't called them yet...

Be sure to ask how many they sold, which will help with the question of why no internet resales. Are there a lot of people out there writing reviews about them?  Maybe it's the best damn gun ever made and people don't even want to think about getting rid of them. If there isn't one on gunraper for twice it's going price...there isn't one for sale anywhere.
