Strike industries new dust covers

Recommended Posts

I've got two now, one on my Matrix build and just added one to an AR-15. The 308 model was real snug but some light sanding and I have a perfect fit. I had to adjust the detent down on the AR-15 model but it is a perfect fit. So far I really like them. They have two models in FDE for the AR-15 on sale right now for $7.50;

I saw that but what's this all about?

***This model is not intended for use on Billet Upper Recievers*** If you have a billet upper you will need the Enhanced UDC.

The enhanced has a slot inside that lets you pull in the pin from there if the hole for the hinge is covered like most billet models, the standard model you have to push the hinge pin in from the outside, if you pop it into one with a closed hinge hole you'll be breaking it to get it off.

"Billet and other certain Mil-Spec Upper Receivers have the port door hinge capped off so the original UDC will not be able to be taken off once installed so make sure to get the Enhanced UDC."
