375Weatherby Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 I am looking for a 12" quad rail with an inside dimension of at least 2.4", actually I need 3 of them. Anyone know if any manufactures or where to get them. FYI I want to adapt them to an FAL
shepp Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 Welcome to the forum feel free to post in the intro section.
blue109 Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 Since you are modding them, I'd probably check if guntech or UTG pro meet your size needs. Inexpensive and most report good quality.
98Z5V Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 Midwest Industries is another option, on their earlier-generation handguards. With that, design-wise, would be Troy and Yankee Hill Machine, as well.

375Weatherby Posted September 27, 2016 Author Report Posted September 27, 2016 I didn't put in my first post that I would like this rail to be free floating!
ARTrooper Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 is there any other kind of rail worth having other than free floating? :P

Ahh those fond memories of the old triangle hand guard. LOL Now at 57 years old I can't even see a silhouette target at 500 yards without a scope. Edited September 28, 2016 by beantown
ARTrooper Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 lol. I hear you Beantown, my agency issued me an old m16 that came from the army. pretty sure they were just trying to get rid of them so they didn't have to store them. lol. carrying handle and all. the thing is accurate, but cant even decently mount a scope because the carrying handle is apart of the upper receiver. lol. we are all praying that we get something decent some day. some of the regular handguards look kinda cool, but I think most of us would agree performance is better than cool (although most free floating handguards look cooler). so I would much rather have a handguard not putting anymore pressure on my barrel.
