With the current QC coming out of my (used to be) beloved Armalite. I heard they were teaming up with CMMG to cut cost. There was a link to Midwest that Shepp posted at the top of this page. Noveske has a nice one on sale right now for $168, but then you have to pay $100 for a barrel nut and probably have to buy a wrench too. Edited February 8, 2017 by DNP

estank1 Posted February 16, 2017 Author Report Posted February 16, 2017 Looking at Midwest Ar10 ss k12 for about $200 . Does it need a low profile gas block?

DNP Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Google grinding down a gas block. Seen it done with one like you have, or buy one for $30.

Armalite cancelled their dedicated .22lr uppers because the QC coming from CMMG was garbage and the returns were costing too much. Mr Raley confirmed their lack of quality too. Armalite was just rebranding the CMMG upper. None of their tech was invested in the upper (to the best of my knowledge).
DNP Posted February 25, 2017 Report Posted February 25, 2017 Crap. I was just making a joke...I was that close?!
Robocop1051 Posted February 25, 2017 Report Posted February 25, 2017 I found out when I asked Mr Raley for help getting an Armalite .22lr upper. He practically screamed NO!!!

A free float handguard might help, but there are a lot of other things to try first. 1 MOA is pretty good for a stock rifle. What optics are you using? What ammo? All these things affect accuracy. Optics is a Vortex diamond back 3x9 . Any body here have a diamond head free float hand guard?
