imschur
Im on the fence with going cheap and getting the Magpuls for three weapons or buying one set of the Troy's. Any opinions?
98Z5V
I like the Magpuls - one set on a 5.56 14.5" gun. I've got a GG&G rear flip-up on a 16" gun with a fixed front triangle, and it's nice (and old). I'll be putting the new Magpul lower profile setup on my 20" 5.56 for sure, and possibly on the .308, if they'll fit under my scope. They're good sights at a great price, man. draco41
Im leaning toward the Yankee hill set YHM-5040 QDS , they lock in both the up and down position, thats why I like them.
Madhouse
+1 on the YHM
Para308
I would choose between the KAC 200-600m micro ($125), GG&G MAD (200-600), and the Troys which are built like tanks.

RayGun19
I like the KAC 200-600 BUIS as well, but with different ballistics, the elevation drum won't range the same for 7.62 as it does for 5.56. I've emailed them asking if they are planning on making one specific for the 7.62 platform like the M110.
RayGun19
So, I got an email back. they say that the elevation drum is no actually specific to either 5.56 or 7.62. And that originally they had made two that were specific, but the military didn't want to stock two separate part numbers (which seems strange), so the drum is "in between".I'm not sure I buy that explanation, but it's what they sent. survivalshop
The more I play with the Magpuls , the more I like them & the new Gen. II's are real nice .AS far as locking the sight in both positions , the Magpuls have a latch ,but the sight is spring loaded, so if you bump it , it will spring back into the up position & catch , nothing broken.I have tested the first Gen. magpuls & no matter what you do to it ,its Right back on the money.A blow torch is about the only thing that will harm them ,but then again , what would a blow torch do to any sight ?
