Had the same issue with my Faxon 300 BO pistol barrel, opened the port up a bit and it runs like a top, accurate for a pistol to. Seems like mine started pretty close to what yours was. I would have to review the thread I have here somewhere to see what I ended up with.

I just came back from the range. 400rds ,zero FTF or FTE, bolt locked back on every empty mag its fixed!

I just ordered a Faxon AR-10 Streamline Handguard.  What size crowsfoot will I need to torque down the barrel nut?  I'm hearing different information out there and there isn't much to begin with with it comes to the AR-10 model.  Just thinking ahead so I'll have all the tools needed to install the handguard right away.  

I'll also put up a review if anyone's interested.

Lol. I’ve had 25 of these barrels on back order for nearly 6 months. 
 

Nathan left Faxon a few years back. I believe he went to FN or HK.
