MrGare413
Just rough fitting my new MI free float handgaurd. Nothing is torqed down in the photo but things are snug. This is my first 308ar build so this is just an astetics question. Is this gap normal with this brand handgaurd? Thinking of machining the upper rail section to allow the gaurd to move forward a touch more towards the upper. Also I feel the pin for dust cover is going to come loose as there is nothing up against it. Going to speak with midwest about fitment as well. survivalshop
Most HG's have a very small gap where they meet up , depends on the HG manufacturer, how much . 50 minutes ago, MrGare413 said: Also I feel the pin for dust cover is going to come loose as there is nothing up against it. jtallen83
My MI handguard is similar. This is after being torqued down.
washguy
MRGARE Yep you have the gap syndrome...this is totally unacceptable in my book....you paid good money and got a POS setup...MI shouldn't be sending crap like that out! The fit should ideally be monolithic. Send that crap rail back to the seller and get something that looks half azz decent Wash
