rcnut Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 just like it says, if you had the choice would you take a Larue trigger or a Velocity drop in unit? and why????
98Z5V Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 LaRue, hands down. Reason = 2-stage. I have several of both, and the Velocity is a sweet single stage - but it won't beat a LaRue MBT2S.
jtallen83 Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 LaRue, I am a two stage trigger fan and have three of these, every bit as good as the SSA triggers I have and a wider shoe that I like. I have a rebranded Velocity trigger, it's good for bench work but have had issues with it not touching off some of my military surplus M80 ammo, it has a very narrow shoe, and I also prefer a margin for error you get with a two stage for all around use.
EngrBob Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 I have both. like and use both, but the LaRue is the one that I am switching to for all the rifles that I use for hunting.
unforgiven Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 For the money LaRue I'd get the MBT. just my 2 mags.
blue109 Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Dont have a larue but ill probably scoop one if they do that $100 deal again. I like single stages, and that velocity is awesome. Breaks and resets so nice. Great at the range but I wouldnt put it in a defensive gun. Very touchy. As JT pointed out it wouldnt ignite my cruddy milsurp 308 ammo so i put it in my 556 precision gun and its perfect in there.
