shooterrex
Purchased the upper and lower from Palmetto. Switched stock and for end to Magpul. Cheap Nikon 4-12 Buckmaster 8UI for now. Runs well Magpul 10,20,&25 rnd mags. Malaysian surplus ammo is about 2 MOA at 100 yds. 165 gr nosler ballistic tips a little better. Need a better trigger. Need to use a good rest not just propped up on my shooting bag. Bottom is 15 rnds of the Malaysian at 100 yards.

shooterrex
From all the reading I have done I need a longer gas tube. Just barely comes in to the cut out. Need a better trigger, lo-profile gass block and a freefloat fore end. Edited January 9, 2019 by shooterrex fat fingers

Grab a pic looking straight down into that upper, BCG removed. Confirmation will arrive shortly after that.

98Z5V
Kill it. Get an Armalite AR-10 Carbine Gas Tube. Armalite Part number 10007005. Only place I can find it in stock right now is Rainier Arms - very reputable. Price is $15, which is fair. Hit the link: https://www.rainierarms.com/armalite-ar10-gas-tube-carbine/
shooterrex
Thanks for the link. I will order it shortly. Still waiting on a 9mm buffer I ordered last week off of gunbroker. 9mm AR doesn't go I to battery about 1/3 of the time but I am using a ar15 carbine buffer and I know it is too light. But midway had the upper on sale for $229. Bought a stern defense mag block so I can use glock mags. Now I'm out of stripped lowers again. 98Z5V
I've ordered from them for years - but it's ben a few years now. Everything came USPS from WA State to AZ State, via USPS, for just pennies. It is worth a shot.

panel77
98Z5V The king of PA-10.. THANK YOU. newb here but used search and browse till stoopid AM reading your posts-THANK YOU! so the PSA 308 kit that came with spring and buffer... well, spring is ~0.72 andabout 11.5" long with an H on the end of the buffer. Ive got the correct AR10 tube in my rainier cart, thanks to you for instock search, but hoping you can point or give part number for correct spring/buffer set. not gonna buy a new tube-just gonna stack a few quarters and when i tear down, im just gonna skip to head of line and pin check gas hole and bring up to the min 070 even before i run it. not entirely sure how to submit pics but willing to spend a few more bucks to listen to your advice. yes-i got a PSA 308 upper/s CHEAP and im happy that got me in the game and no, i cant afford to triple my money in a whole new pile of parts so moving on-just making my pile work. part numbers for spring/buffer? panel77
ordered the tubes, website was funky and 504 broken, phone call, super helpful, they waived shipping. will make new order for other parts later. The 308 DPMS spring they noted was listed by CS as 11.5" and the 308 $35 buffer she told me was 2.oz... prob wrong but didnt want to deal with it. Here are the parts you are searching for, part numbers are broke out if you want to search for individual parts. Armalite is out of stock on the kit but a phone call may get a different answer. https://www.armalite.com/product/ar10rekit01-6-position-receiver-extension-kit/
98Z5V
^^^ Yep,what JT said. Those are all the part numbers. The receiver extension internal depth is important, the spring (EA1095 spring) is the heart of it - but you can use ANY AR15 Carbine H3 buffer. They're all 3.250" long and weight damn close to 5.4oz. For receiver extension options that meet the internal-depth goal, there are confirmed, verified options here: I'm not the king of the PA-10, man - I jsut got sick and tired of seeing what they were turning out, and constantly changing, for the worse. Once these guns run, they run well. When they don't run, we hear about it here, in what used to be "all the damn time..." I want them all to run, great, out of the box. Life here would calm down if that ever happened...
