ChickanWangCharley
Hello guys, This part was donated to me with a bunch of other parts and I was told it was for an AR10. I'm curious who's the manufacturer. The only marking on it is a "X" stamped on the top of the receiver. ChickanWangCharley
On second thought... I will need this information because I will be attempting to build an AR10 with the donated parts.
Ravenworks
Look for the forge marks for a start
98Z5V
Looks like a DPMS-based cut at the back of that receiver, so you're not going to be building any AR-10's with it.
Robocop1051
Definitely looks like a forging. I’m with 98 here, that’s not an AR-10. That’s an LR308 compatible upper.
mrraley
I hate to be the barer of bad news, but that don't look like a .308 upper... Edited February 6, 2020 by mrraley

I thought the same thing. The body of the upper is too narrow in proportion to the top rail.

It's AR15. 2 hours ago, Matt.Cross said: I thought the same thing. The body of the upper is too narrow in proportion to the top rail. AR15s have 13 pic slots in the upper, large-frames have 18 pic slots in the upper. You can't change the Picatinny dimensions, they're fixed. That's an AR15 upper. Probably from X-Products. I'd check mine, but I painted it.
ChickanWangCharley
Thank you all! You've been awesome! No bad news here lol... It was all donated to me 🙂. I can't complain when I got them for free.
