Hello guys,

This part was donated to me with a bunch of other parts and I was told it was for an AR10. I'm curious who's the manufacturer. The only marking on it is a "X" stamped on the top of the receiver.

I thought the same thing. The body of the upper is too narrow in proportion to the top rail.

Truth.  It's AR15.

AR15s have 13 pic slots in the upper, large-frames have 18 pic slots in the upper.  You can't change the Picatinny dimensions, they're fixed.

That's an AR15 upper. Probably from X-Products.  I'd check mine, but I painted it.
