98Z5V Posted April 25, 2022 Report Posted April 25, 2022 WE GOT AFTER IT!!! @JBMatt and I ended up with 43 hits out of 47 possible targets. He beat me pretty well in the timed stage - we both cleared that stage, but he cleared it FAST AF!!! Out of 55 total people that were there, that left him in 15th place and I ended up in 16th place, for overalls. Pretty damn great day, I'll tell ya's.

We started on Stage 4 and we were both clean until that damned Stage 2. I was having a hell of a time in the first 2 of 3 positions. I finally hit the first 8 targets and moved to the 3rd position for the final 4 targets. BEEEEEEP!! Timed out. I didn't even get to pull the trigger at the 3rd position. When I cleared my rifle, I ejected the mag and noticed it was empty. Pulled the bolt back and the last round of the mag was chambered. It wouldn't have mattered if I had enough time anyways! I was out of quarters! 19 shots to hit 8 targets in that stage was a little frustrating, to say the least. Overall, pretty solid showing, for the most part. @98Z5V was punching way above his weight class, but now he's gotten a taste of the good life! Something something blind squirrel and an acorn, blah blah blah.

Just where I'd hope they'd be. Better than most with their chosen profession. Tim was fresh off instructing 4 days training that ended the day before this match. We had 10 on our squad of 12 that placed in the top 19 spots. We were definitely shooting with the cream of the crop. @98Z5V and I were the layer holding up the cream. 1,2,7,8,11,13,15,16,17 and 19th spots were on our squad.
