ErikS Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 I hunt with a R25, good shooting rifle. Looking for BUIS but the ? is which set has the correct height? The trigger needs help, way to much creep for hunting rifle. On a budget and concerned about reliabilty.
Matt.Cross Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Welcome to the forums! I don't know too much about BUIS. As for your trigger, if you're on a tight budget, Bill Springfield is legendary for his ability to fix a crappy AR trigger. Last I heard it was only $75 and shipping for a trigger job, and that comes out way cheaper than an aftermarket trigger.
unforgiven Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Brother Matt do you send the lower or just trigger assy.? $75.00 great price for a pro craftsman to tweak a trigger. <thumbsup>
Matt.Cross Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 I think he only needs the trigger assembly, if i'm not mistaken...
unforgiven Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Excuse me brother ErikS,forgot my manners welcome from the midwest. <thumbsup>
98Z5V Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 ErikS, welcome aboard. <thumbsup> Last I heard it was only $75 and shipping for a trigger job, and that comes out way cheaper than an aftermarket trigger.Way high for his work - it's not that high. It's almost 1/2 that.http://www.triggerwork.net/ar15s.html
98Z5V Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Looking for BUIS but the ? is which set has the correct height?Any standard flip-up rear, combined with any gas-block-height front. That'll work for what you've got. <thumbsup>You can't use same-plane sights with that rifle, in stock config.
unforgiven Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Just checked out Mr. Springfields and all I can say is ...wow will be using his services as soon as I can. <thumbsup>

On the other hand, anyone that had braced themselves for that $75 was pleasantly surprised! <thumbsup>
