cowenox
Still working through my AR10, getting everything just right. I find my self not quite comfortable with my optic on high or medium rings. One seems a tad high, the other a tad low. So, I wondered, how does everyone else mount theirs? Any special tips or tricks? Currently have a PA-10 with Burris E1 4-14x on high rings. I have to just slightly lift my cheek off of the CTR stock and the sight picture is perfect. blue109
I try to put the centerline of my Scopes at the same height of the irons. Not always possible with large objectives.
Magwa
I have the same problem I have switched to a Luth AR stock with a adjustable cheek piece works like a charm . Now the only weapons I have a cheek piece on are precision rifles all others I just get used to whatever my mount gives me...
unforgiven
Luth stocks are the cat's meow
98Z5V
On a gas gun, just run a LaRue LT-158 mount, and be done about "how low can I go..." It's a 1.44" above rail, with a 10 MOA cant on it. It clears a 56mm objective. You won't get any better than that on a gas gun. Your sight height-over-bore is already 2.5" for an AR gas gun. Cut it down some, to 2.44" height over bore. It's the best mount out there, cantilever, kicks the scope forward where it needs to be - and individual rings just don't work on an AR, unless it's a Mk12 Mod 0 gun with a top rail.
