Cull hunt

Our department of conservation decided to have a cull hunt to try and slow down the spread of chronic waste disease . It was an antler-less only hunt doe's or button bucks . I tagged a small doe with my ruger S.F.A.R. using Remington 150 core-locks .Certainly nothing to brag about but , I done what they ask for and I ended up with enough venison for about 18 meal's . I will bow hunt for a couple of week's then it will be time to look for something much bigger .

Meat in the freezer is meat in the freezer. A young doe is better eating than an old buck any day.

That CWD is nasty stuff. Any thing that slows it down is good.

good meat is always good to have young doe is real good meat....

About the only thing that seems to slow it down is a high wolf population. We haven’t found it by us, but we have a lot of wolves.
