jwb47 Posted October 19, 2023 Report Posted October 19, 2023 Our department of conservation decided to have a cull hunt to try and slow down the spread of chronic waste disease . It was an antler-less only hunt doe's or button bucks . I tagged a small doe with my ruger S.F.A.R. using Remington 150 core-locks .Certainly nothing to brag about but , I done what they ask for and I ended up with enough venison for about 18 meal's . I will bow hunt for a couple of week's then it will be time to look for something much bigger .
shooterrex Posted October 19, 2023 Report Posted October 19, 2023 Meat in the freezer is meat in the freezer. A young doe is better eating than an old buck any day.
Sisco Posted October 19, 2023 Report Posted October 19, 2023 That CWD is nasty stuff. Any thing that slows it down is good.
Magwa Posted November 9, 2024 Report Posted November 9, 2024 good meat is always good to have young doe is real good meat....
