98Z5V
In 1990, I canoed the Concord River, rented a canoe, and made the journey. I've been to the statue on the Concord River where the first shot was fired. I'd encourage everyone to do this, and check it out. It's pretty impressive. The 3 strikes of the match. That's what led to the Revolutionary War. 3rd strike - we're going. And we did...
98Z5V
This was my chapter to teach, during every Appleseed Shoot. Hezekiah Wyman. White Death. I loved it every single time I taught it, during every shoot. https://boston1775.blogspot.com/2010/06/documented-life-of-hezekiah-wyman.html
98Z5V
We make our mark on our country, men. What is the mark that you will make? What do you leave the others, that will follow you in these steps that you've taken? What guidance have you given, information shared, things taught? What have you passed on, to the next generation? And the next generation after that? I've been working on making my own mark, for about 40 years now. Since 1986. Influence others, guide, direct, train. 3 things every leader needs to provide to his soldiers - Purpose, Motivation, and Direction. I've been trying here, since 2010. I hope I've made an impact, somewhere, on someone. Go do good things.

98Z5V
So, the Revolutionary War wasn't an instant start. It had been brewing for years and years. The taxation, and the abuse. This is why I always recommend that everyone watch "Sons of Liberty," the 6 hour miniseries. It does a very, very good job at showing how everything was leading up to war, and the beginning of the war itself. It's absolutely excellent. So, during the teaching of Appleseed - it's a weekend Sat-Sun shooting event - 50% history of the revolutionary War, and 50% shooting... You'll come out of that a much better shooter, no matter what your current skill level is... During the teaching of that, Instructors focus on key individuals, as well as the 3 Strikes of the Match. The three main trigger-events that sparked it all off. Here are all 3 Strikes of the Match: Edited 6 hours ago by 98Z5V
