Magwa Posted September 8 Report Posted September 8 my cans are filthy carbon build up I imagine how to get the gunk out!
sketch Posted September 9 Report Posted September 9 I was told just shoot it from the manufacturer ( welded can) or others use a sonic cleaner.
98Z5V Posted September 9 Report Posted September 9 (edited) 1st, weigh it now. Figure out how much it weighs. Get a cheap digital scale from Harbor Freight, and see how heavy that pig is. 2nd, once you figure out how to get it clean, weigh it. Weigh it clean. 3rd, every once in awhile, after use, weigh it. Never let it get as heavy as it is right now. 4th, ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight. Don't worry about a "solution" in it to clean anything - fill it with water, and get that thing HOT. Stuff your suppressor into a HD Ziplock Freezer Bag, pour undiluted Simple Green into the bag, remove air, seal it. 5th, toss that sealed bag of suppressor and Simple Green into the ultrasonic cleaner, and let that machine go to work. If you pull it, check it, and ain't happy - toss that fukcer back in there for twice the time this time. Eventually, it's gonna be clean. Once it's clean, go back to #2 - WEIGH that thing... NF1E Posted Thursday at 11:36 AM Report Posted Thursday at 11:36 AM For the old break down suppressors, a good hand scrubbing with breakfree worked well. For newer one piece units Huxwrks Suppressor Sauce does a fine job. I used Break Free for years with the 24 hr bath that also worked. Whatta Hobby!
Magwa Posted Friday at 12:33 PM Author Report Posted Friday at 12:33 PM Thanks this is a one piece so I will seek out the sauce or a sonic cleaner
Belt Fed Posted Friday at 01:07 PM Report Posted Friday at 01:07 PM Never thought of the plastic PVC pipe trick, may have to make a couple of those.
