Finally got a range day to shoot out to 150 yards. got everything set up and i noticed the scope was way off so i started moving it and on the 7th round the scope fell off. :laffs: got to lookin at it and the base is a weaver base and the mounts on the scope are Picatinny.  So there i am lookin like an idiot with my scope in hand. so my range trip was short. took it to the gun shop and had them order a base.

Hope you ordered at least a 20MOA rail. That gun will shoot a lot farther than the scope adjustments that is in the scope. I put a 50 MOA scope rail on mine. That let's me dial elevation for a mile.

The guy at the gun shop told me that, i dunno. they ordered another one at no cost to me. we will see if there is a difference. the base is too narrow for the rings. when tightened all the way down it's not floppy loose but it ain't tight either.

Wondering what rings came with the rig.  Many moons ago I purchased a used "package" and the previous owner had subbed a few "lesser" quality accessories - including rings and a couple of the mags.  Not a big deal $$.  But still a PITA.  In my old age, I use almost exclusively Leupold for optics and mounts.  The stuff just always works without any issues.  Vortex has great customer service.  And, I hear, Leupold does too.  I've just never had to actually use it.
