IndustrialRescue
I just got the notion to see if it's possible to throw a standard AR15 diameter buffer & tube onto a DPMS AP4 308, so that I can mount a slidefire stock...Is it possible???? Robocop1051
The AR15 and the larger .308 version, both use the same buffer tube. You cannot use an ar-15 buffer with a .308. You must use a .308 specific buffer. A slidefire stock will fit just fine on a .308.
98Z5V
The recoil of a .308 AR might break a SlideFire stock, like I'd break Dianne Feinstein in a wild sex-fest, though.Knock a hip outta socket!... ;D :cookoo:

MikedaddyH
Why would you want a Slidefire on a 308??An AR15 cost enough to operate. 5 sec mag dump on a 308 $20.8 to 10 sec mag dump with 223/556 $11 to $18.

IndustrialRescue
Do they work with .22 LR ARs? Slidefires. Not Tom's jaw joints.JonYeah. I put a Jard Inc 1.5 pound trigger into the AR15 lower, and threw my CMMG dedicated 22lr upper on. Works just fine with the slidefire stock.
