There was a post describing how they open up ordering at midnight and what to do, does anyone know where that post is?

Don't remember where it is exactly. But basically, go to the DD site around midnight, and they've got a "build your own M4" link. By the way, they're not taking any orders until the 22nd. Sales are closed till after the SHOT show.

A freind that waited too long (I told him!) wants to order one, once he places his order after the 22nd does any one know how long they take? I know it's hard to say, but, weeks? Months? ????

Weeks, right now.  From what I've heard, have him sign up for an account before be gets in there at midnight, just to speed the process up.  Lots of people have been getting close to finishing up the order, and it boots you before you're done - all orders for the day filled already. 

It'll also be wise to pre-select everything he wants, well beforehand.  Cruise the website, and see what you want, well before midnight.

I told him to have everything done, account and specs of the rifle, when will they want the ffl's info?

The important thing is to get the order completed and paid for.  Call DD the next day with FFL info and see how they want it presented to them.  <thumbsup>

When I deal with companies that don't have my FFL on file, I email a scanned copy of it to them, which has always been acceptable.
