planeflyer21
Went into Murphy's Guns today, to see what they had.Surprisingly they had several AR-style .22 rifles. They had a Daniel Defense AR in .300 Blackout for $1600+change.They also had one of the H&K wooden-stocked semi-auto hunting rifles (tempting!), couldn't read the caliber from my position.Plenty of higher-capacity 9mm and other caliber pistols. No shortage of revolvers (Smith 325 Night Guard for $725-ish).They also had the Mossberg like Tom just bought, for under $600, with a 30-round mag stuffed in it.ALMOST bought the Kahr CW45, used, for $299!Jon

planeflyer21
That's a really good price. Really good. I can't remember for certain...$1679 maybe?Forgot about the Savage 10 Scout in .308 Win! It was just over $400 I want to say. There were a LOT of distractions, people must've traded in all sorts of stuff to get the mil-style rifles.Like the SIG 1911 Skorpion for $749, used (slightly, if at all).Jon

planeflyer21
$749.00 No poop! Payed $930.00 and that was the lowest price I could find.Used, bro, used!A rather large offering in .338 Lapua rifles too. When you go into Murphy's, to your left are unique handguns and knives, regular knives, and Colt's in special display cases, .22 rifles and military-style rifles in the racks on the wall, new optics in the counter cases, then CCW handguns. On the back wall behind that are rifles that have been worked on, and a walk-through to another space lined with racks of items on lay-a-way. THAT room was lined completely with anything that could remotely be considered to be banned under a new AWB.Honestly, I was surprised they had TWO Mossy 590s, one with a heat-shield and bead sight, the other w/o the shield and with rifle sights, both with lugs.I'm going to start dropping in on a regular basis. There have been some screaming deals in there when people do crazy trades. One I missed was a Ruger Compact Laminate in .308 Win for $399.Jon
Madhouse
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I would have walked out with that DD in hand.
blue109
I dont go in there any more. Always get a pile of attitude or ignored. Diamondback and Tucson guns are the only local shops I spend any cash in lately.

Never experienced it personally but hear it enough to know it is true.I only go in for "used deal sweeps". They have the largest used inventory around, hands down.Jon
spectrascott
I hit 2 local shops today and was actually surprised to see ARs on the wall. Prices were not to bad for the times. A few 1600 dollar guns but they had a few nice options on them. One store I go to likes to Cerakote the rifles and a lot of the parts. Makes for a sweet looking gun. Before the scare they had a sweet looking Ma Ten that was a burnt bronze color  Had a .556 in there today that had the Lower/Upper combo done along with the rail and buffer tube. It all went real nice with the black accents from the other parts.
