Is This Gouging?

Had a student awhile back that was hot for one of the Kel-Tec PMR-30 .22 Magnum semi-autos.

Thought I'd look them up right now.  When they get them, Sportsman's sells them for less than $400.

That damn pistol has been pushed out of Kel-Tec in very limited numbers, since it's introduction.  It's been "individually gouged" since release, just due to it's low numbers.

The current situation certainly isn't helping, and it's definitely got the price a little higher, but that thing has been high $$$ and hot-to-get the whole time.

I wanted one...until I held one.  The magazine reminds me of, well, nothing I've quite seen before.  And it has a cheesy Euro-style mag release, on the bottom of the grip.  Very flimsy.

WTF was wrong with making the mag like the other Kel-Tec pistols?

I've not heard anyone complain about jamming.

Give it another couple of inches of barrel and that would be a nasty surprise for badguys.

Not here.  Most .22 Magnum ammo is about half the 5.7 ammo.

If you reload for 5.7, that is a whole 'nother story!
