imschur Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Anyone see these in person? a bit pricey
Robocop1051 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 I can see/understand the added benefit for the PRS.... But that sure is a pricey add-on for an already heavy UBR. Tom has a similar attachment on an A2 stock. Very similar to a m110 style.
98Z5V Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Yep - was running the A2 on the .308, and needed some comb height. Another way around that was swapping to the A1 and running the Sierra Precision adjustable buttplate (picked it up from Clint @ Fulton). Great quality device, and just what I needed. <thumbsup>
blue109 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 i never saw that sierra pad! i have an A1 stock that wants one now!!
98Z5V Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 It's a great, great piece. <thumbsup> Link to it:http://www.spaceguns.com/product1.htm
blue109 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 in stock at sinclair for $65ish. having a hard time deciding on building a kis carbine or a 20" out of my A2 rcvr set. i hate having parts sitting around!
unforgiven Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Can that be made to work on Collapseable stock??
98Z5V Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 The Sierra Precision buttplate? Nope - bolts right into an A1 or A2 stock.
unforgiven Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 I put operator stocks on everything glad I got 1 A1.
Zebra644 Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 (edited) I have the MDT recoil pad replacement for the PRS stock. You just unscrew the stock butt plate and put the nice thick " cushy " one on. It adds about 1/2 inch or so to the LOP. Zel Indutries I believe also makes a pad replacement using the butt plate and their adapter screws on and uses a limb saver or d-cell pad. the also are kind of pricey I paid $35.00 for my recoil pad. I have not seen the Sierra Precision before it looks very nice. Edited March 30, 2013 by Zebra644
