imschur Posted March 9, 2013 Author Report Posted March 9, 2013 So while I was doing the paperwork on the Armalite AR-10 I saw one of these in the display case. You know the rest of the story
Rsquared Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Yeah.....I think this is one of those hollywood, flash-forward, then flash-back type of angles. <laughs>
98Z5V Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 So while I was doing the paperwork on the Armalite AR-10 I saw one of these in the display case. You know the rest of the storyI almost bought this last week... ;D <thumbsup>
imschur Posted March 9, 2013 Author Report Posted March 9, 2013 I almost bought this last week... ;D <thumbsup> There it is <laughs>
98Z5V Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Saw the OD Green one (with the tan grip panels), also - sitting in the PX. No tax there, no transfer fee, and cheaper than the one downtown. I'll have one sometime, but this fukkin 9mm thing keep getting in the way. It should be finished next week... <munch>
imschur Posted March 9, 2013 Author Report Posted March 9, 2013 This bastard wasnt cheap $460 or $480
98Z5V Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 I'll check the price on the FDE one here (downtown) and the OD one (@ the PX). I'll get back with numbers. I'm pretty sure the FDE one was very close to that price on yours. <thumbsup>
imschur Posted March 9, 2013 Author Report Posted March 9, 2013 This thing might turn into a fun project. Grip safety needs replaced, barrel is ready for a threaded adapter. Needs a trigger job
Rsquared Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 So...what about the 10 dude? Model? Barrel length? Drool marks? Other stains that leave DNA traces?

imschur Posted March 9, 2013 Author Report Posted March 9, 2013 Real glad I bought those 25 round mags last week
Rsquared Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Looks pretty good. I'm guessing that's a B model by the description, not the AR10A? Even better. That means my mags will fit it too. <laughs>
imschur Posted March 9, 2013 Author Report Posted March 9, 2013 yeah it's a 'B". There was a little confusion I think cuz of the "A4". Looks way nicer in person. I already spoke to my mechanic about some body work on it. New barrel, furniture and a trip to get some cerakote. THATS how this ties in to the title of the thread. The rifle is slightly used though it does not look it the least. The case was broken. I was throwing it out anyhow.
