texas30cal Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 Watching Saving Private Ryan, as I do every June 6th along with Band of Brothers, anyone else have a D-day "tradition" or way of showing appreciation? I also send out a text message to friends on D-day, memorial day, and dec.7th regarding the importance of the sacrifices made for us.
unforgiven Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) I think of all those brave men and women everytime I look at my Garand. Edited June 8, 2013 by unforgiven
Tripledeuce Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 Every time I handle a garand, a m-1 carbine, or a military .45, I wonder about the stories behind each gun. respectfully Terry
jrtMA Posted June 10, 2013 Report Posted June 10, 2013 It's always very emotional to think about those sacrifices that were made by so many and are continued to be made all around the world.
