Hello all,

My name is Ed Nichols, me and my partner started this journey a couple of years ago, started producing our .308 lower about a year ago. Have battled local government on their promises to help us get started, only to have them change grant requirements continuously to the point that we have lost faith in their helping do anything other than collect taxes. We now produce what we think are one of the best looking/performing .308 lowers out there (yes, we are biased). We sell mainly to FFL's but retail our lowers for $260.00. We very much want to identify ourselves with the long range shooting fraternity. Will have steel uppers within the next 12 months, they should weigh about 10 ounces more that the larger .308 uppers. We are going to also make aluminum uppers but want to do steel because of the thermal expansion differences between a steel barrel extention and an aluminum upper, time will tell. Step by step we will eventually manufacture the entire rifle, minus the barrels. We have built a few rifles, we use Lilja rifle barrels. I'm a former Marine, no direct combat experience, and my partner is a career gunsmith, specializing in long range rifles, we are both formally trained tool & die makers. Drew, the head honco of 308ar has been extremely accomodating in helping us get started here. We are small enough to act quickly on design modifications and appreciate feedback from customers and people that just want their opinions listened to. If there is ever any problems with our components, send it to our Tavares, Florida location and we will fix the problem, mail it back to you, and refund your shipping cost. I am not a gunsmith, just someone who enjoys making chips and hopes to one day be an industry leader in the market we are pursuing. I consider my partner one of the best gunsmiths in the nation.

Our website is www.2mcinc.com, we have a bunch of pictures of our lowers, with a DPMS upper, a couple of different mags, and a couple of different pistol grips. We have tried to design our upper so that components that will build our lowers into rifles look like they are a part of our design process. I built our website, so excuse its rawness, I am not a web designer. It is there right now as a way for people to see our product.

So thanks for the welcome and we hope to be good members.

Tks, Ed
