bubbasks Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Been eyeing a 700 sendero in 7mm RM for a while and planned on iy for tax time. And what is stuck in my head now from my LGS? A Savage 110ba and 10fcp both in 338 LM... ive gone back and fourth on the 110ba for along time and keep writing it off for one reason or another but now that i reload its not so much an ammo issue anymore. I already shoot and have lots of 7mm RM but ide image ide shoot both about the same amount. Idk what to do. Both would have same price for glass and bipod and the 700 would prolly end up eventually costing me the difference in a stock eventually and trigger. Im stuck...
bubbasks Posted December 20, 2013 Author Report Posted December 20, 2013 And now ive changed again thinking i shoild just complete my new lowers i got and the rest on more reloading supplies.... please tell me im not the only one with ADOS.
bubbasks Posted December 20, 2013 Author Report Posted December 20, 2013 ADOS: attention deficit oooo shiney
EasyEJL Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I'm perpetually doing it. Now my thing I'm heavily stuck on is picking up parts kits for WWII guns. Haven't put one together yet, but getting a collection of the kits together.
Rsquared Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I say go for it (the 110 BA). We only go around once in this world.

shepp Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Im thinkin that too. Ive gotta get outta this place (work). Last 2 weeks ive been workin 10-14 hrs a day and most of it is sitting in my van waiting for new containers yo come in to checkload and sample. So i sit on my phone looking at poop i want lol That's my issue stuck inside days are shorter is colder out I spend more time on the net. Got a bonus coming and taxes I got them both spent four times over. Guy on my FB posted a picture of this competition 1911 he wants 4000$ plus I said dude you could fund 5 guns I got going thru my head right now?!?
texas30cal Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 My brother in law has a 110ba, he has been extremely happy with it, very nice shooting rifle.
bubbasks Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 Im thinkin im gonna go for it after i pay off my safe after christmas. Then save up for some nice glass. I mean something to make my steiner look like a weaver lol all in all im thinkin 5k budget to have it complete. Figure itll cost me bout the same as my 308 did
planeflyer21 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Go for it! With one exception…get a 110BA in a caliber you can actually find brass for at this point. A .308 will eat the same food as your other pets. A .300 Win Mag you will at least be able to buy food for it. With GREAT glass on either one of the non-.338 Lapoopa-I-can't-find-brass options, you will have plenty left in your $5k budget for brass, bullets, primers, powder, and gas to get you to and from the range.
bubbasks Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 Only reason for upping to the 338 is bc its a 338 haha. No 300 win mags for me i prefer my 7mm rem mags if i was staying the regular long action route
bubbasks Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 Wellllll. Gun pusher made an offer. $2040 for the 110ba 338 LM. Looks like its time to play with the big boys.
Rsquared Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Hell, that's a deal at twice the price Bubba. You should get one for each hand. <laughs> All kiddin aside......I still say go for it.
bubbasks Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 ? Whats twice the price? Yeah i plan on it. Then sell a kidney for some glass.
Rsquared Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Awww. That's ok. I've only been running on one kidney for about 25 years. You'll be alright.
DNP Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) Hey....God didn't give you two of em for no reason. Sell the good one and get really nice glass. You and Ron might be able to split some bulk 338 soon. Maybe get it down around $7-8 per boom. Edited December 24, 2013 by DNP
Rsquared Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 The man's got a point Bubba. $7-8 per round? You're shopping in the wrong places my man. Now......$5-6 is more like it. Maybe a little less if we "step down" to Hornady, from Federal or Black HIlls.
bubbasks Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 Lol i have brass. Powder comes to about .40-.45 cents, boolits .35 cents and primer .03 cents. If more brass is needed its bout 1 a pop. So wheres this 7 dollars a pop come from? Haha
bubbasks Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 Oh and i already have quite a bit of retumbo in stock. Primers in stock and brass.
bubbasks Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 Fk it im going baller status with an S&b and factory Lapua brand ammo lol i kid....
Rsquared Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Alright.....baller and S&B might go hand in hand with SK's. But not with this stuff brother. <lmao>
bubbasks Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 Does BSA make a Sweet 338? Lol
