Im building a Ar .308 DPMS style on a SI Defense matching set. I have the Recievers, BCG... looking to buy other parts.  Wanted a RA barrel, might have to cough up for the Noveske. 

 

Is the buffer tube the same as an AR, just need a stronger spring and buffer? Thanks. Michael.

Im still new at this but isnt a Noveske barrel made around the Armalite style and not DPMS?

Correct... unless he has the skill/ability to remove the barrel extension, and replace it with a DPMS style.

Mixing Ford and Chevy parts can be difficult. If he isn't savvy around the bench, he may run into issues he can't diagnose.

Yes, the standard AR buffer tube will work. Take note that there is also an "Armalite AR-10-length" buffer tube in both carbine and rifle lengths. These are about 3/4" longer than their standard counterparts.

 

After selecting which tube you're going with, make sure to get the correct buffer and buffer spring to match the tube.
