California judge upholds city ban on hi-cap mags

Recommended Posts

A judge on Wednesday upheld a Bay Area city’s ban on gun magazines that can hold more than 10 bullets, the second similar ruling from a federal court in less than a month.

U.S. District Judge Ron Whyte in San Jose said Wednesday that Sunnyvale’s ban on high-capacity magazines doesn’t violate Second Amendment rights to own guns for self-defense.

Sunnyvale’s ban goes into effect Thursday after 66 percent of voters approved it in November.

Another federal judge last month upheld San Francisco’s high-capacity magazine ban on similar grounds.

"it is rare that anyone will need to fire more than 10 rounds in self-defense," U.S. District Judge Ronald Whyte of San Jose said in his ruling

So by this thinking my Surefire 100 round mag will be good for 10 self defense situations, no need to reload between break-ins! B)

Now defending myself from a tyrannical government on the other hand........maybe I better get another mag or two.....there playing with fire :hornet:

This Judge has decided for anyone in the future that they will only need 10 rds.... the arrogance of this man is astounding how long before some person is trying to defend him or herself and runs out of ammo and is killed or seriously injured I hope at that time the judge is made to pay restitution and is held accountable for his visions of grandeur! Self defense is just not about street muggers and thieves and rapist's but also about the God given right to protect ones self from a over bearing Government or zombie ,or horde of snakes..... these politicians whom attack the 2nd amendment after taking a sworn oath to protect it need to be held accountable for their actions and for not keeping their oath!
