The day before yesterday, I decided on what shotgun I wanted and it was the Remington 870 Tactical.  I had everything lined up and $500.00 in my pocket and was going in yesterday after work to buy it.  When I got to work, I picked up the local paper and took a look in the Classified section as I always do.  There was a new add for a Remington 12 ga Tactical shotgun!!!???  I thought to myself, this could not be the same exact shotgun that I want.  I was driving myself crazy waiting until 7am to call the number.  I thought I should at least wait till 7am to let him wake up.  Well, I called him and I was the first call of the day. He did not know much about it, but described it as what sounded like the same shotgun I wanted.  I went to his house and low and behold, it was the same exact one, brand new, he only fired it 5 times.  He threw in 4 boxes or shells(100 rnds) and I walked out the door.  I got the shotgun and the 95 rounds, as he shot 5, for $250.00 bucks!!!  Now, I am one happy camper!!!!  Now of course I have to add all the little touches to it that I like from Brownells!!!

Congrats on the scatter gun. I bought my first 870 about 15 years ago, and it's still my favorite. My wife wants me to find her a Browning o/u in 20ga to play with.

I think I'm going to hold out for a Fidelis 12 for my next shotty.

I took the Breacher Choke tube, as it is made to really spread out the shot as it comes out.  I replaced it with a Dead Coyote Choke Tube made by Carlson's.  With the new Dead Coyote "T" Shot, they claim kills out to 70 yards?  I bet not with a 18 1/2" barrel like mine?  I bet they were using a  real long barrel and shooting 3 1/2" shotshells.  I bought the 3" shotshells, I am going to get them Dogs into about 20 yards and blast them.  20-30 yards is about average for most, but some sit out there at 300-400 yards and look at you.  That is when I pull my .50 BMG out of my Concealled Carry holster tucked into my waistband and take care of them!!!

I have to say this also.  That rear sight and rail is made by XS sight and they come standard on this model. The fella I bought it from, said it never came with the shotgun, but it states in the website that is does come with it.  I called Remington and told them my story and they said it is $165.00 plus shipping for just that rail and sight.  They then said they would get it out to me right away, Free of charge!!! The best part, they did not blink an eye to help me out.

Nice score Tacblade. I;ve been looking at the 870's for a while because I don't own a pump gun, but I've never seen that good of a deal, and almost new no less.

One HELLUVA deal, Tac!  That should do you well against the coyotes when you get 'em in close.

Speaking of that, this is my favorite vid of a close range yote shot:
